Clay Travis @ClayTravisBGID 5 minutes ago In investigative reports, Batey was accused of peeing on victim & saying, "That's for 300 years of slavery, bitch."
Where did Clay Travis get this info?

This is a pretty ironic statement considering that the enslavement of Africans in North America predates the emergence of the United States by well over 100 years.

Yeah but you never hear the Spanish or the British being blamed for slavery in American no, it's always just the big bad USA.

Nevermind the fact that the statement is even more absurd given the fact that nobody alive in the USA today was alive back when there was slavery.

not everything he said but quite a bit is included in this:

day by day look at the trial - most recent at the top so you may want to start at the bottom

Maybe he's 300 years old and was a slave back in the day.

The investigative report. There is a report out there citing an official who had viewed the video describing it as "racially charged" which would support in some ways clay's Assertion.

What does that have to do with anything? Are you trying to argue that the USA has been around for 300 years?

I think he's trying to argue that slavery was around a lot longer than the United States has been a country, so your comment doesn't make sense.

Brush up on your history - slavery existed long before there was a United States of America.

Well no fricking shite Sherlock!

But when trying to place blame on white americans for slavery in america you can't blame americans for slavery that was done by other nations.

How does it not make sense? Why would an American be to blame for slavery that was instituted by other nations?

Americans are now to be held accountable for the past actions of the Spanish and British?

Just curious, where are you getting this info? Trying to find a link to the court docs or a long form article but I'm coming up empty on google.

(Not questioning you, just wanted to read about it)

Several articles from the Tennessean's trial coverage. They covered it fairly well. That said, the Tennessean has an article limit - but hey there's only a few days left in this month. Also, several local tv stations, especially in Middle Tennessee covered the trial in depth and included many quotes from it.

I'm not sure the trial transcripts have been posted yet (I haven't found them yet but I haven't looked terribly hard) but they are public records so should be available at some point.

I'd google Vandenburg Vandy rape trial or Vandy rape trial - Nasvhille Metro Coverage is the best, imo. You might strike gold with one of the Nashville tv stations before hitting the Tennessean given their article limit.

Did the guys get off? Or did they rightfully get convicted, punish. Why would Jesse and Al be around....justice was served....guys will most likely go to prison....have to register as sex offenders, etc.

Didn't slavery in north America start around 1619 and end in like 1865? Not quite 300 years.
