There is no reason Pruitt can't get Tennessee back to competing with anybody. People who say the program is dead never to rise again are crazy. East Tennessee is not fertile recruiting grounds at all, but the location is good. Close to Middle Tennessee where the talent is getting better and better, it is also close to talent in NC, Virginia, SC, North Alabama and Georgia. Tennessee has recruited this way for 70 years. I think Pruitt will work as hard and as anyone in recruiting, he will have consistent top 5-10 classes. That's all you need to compete.

Its really early. Listening to Pruitt talk makes Orgeron sound like he should be teaching students how to split atoms not coaching football

I know a lot of you guys don't like Fulmer, and I not a big fan either. I think he put some kind of black magic, dark arts curse on us when he got fired. Now that The Dark Lord is back the curse is over, so we will be good again. It's really all pretty simple, sometimes things just come down to logic

Edit your post. You accidentally put a slash mark between the 3 and 4.

Your problem is geography. Too wide of a state. And the kids in Tennessee aren't especially loyal once you get out of that 90 minute Knox radius.

Hahaha, What an idiotic post.

Fulmer thrived when UGA and Clemson were down. It'll be tougher but not impossible.

At this point yes, but let him get his feet under him and his folks in place and he's gonna give us all a fit...nobody hopes I'm wrong more than me....but I'm not.

Watching kids go to Ole Miss, Georgia and other places from a hot bed like Memphis ought to convince you. But hey, live it up. Your state is killing it in producing talent now. BTW, if you have time, check out Rivals or 247's state rankings. Compare Tennessee to GA and FLA.

True, but the talent pool in mid/East Tn has improved exponentially since then.

One thing I'm hearing about Pruitt is he's not gonna be beholden to TN kids just because they're TN kids.I think they'll probably target the 8-10 in state guys they feel best fits their profile and look elsewhere for the rest.
