I may be alone in this, but I think getting taken to the woodshed by Georgia at home is just what this team AND FANBASE needed for a wakeup call.
FIFY!!!

Georgia’s punter is a weapon. Texas’s punter is not. What a difference that made.
Georgia’s punter is consistently one of the best in the nation. You rarely see a bad punter on an elite team.

He has the potential to excel when the circumstances align and you're caught off guard. Underestimating his abilities would be a mistake.
Carson Beck is not a good QB, but he didn’t play scared. Quinn is either still injured or in fear of reinjury. He looks identical to ‘22/‘23 Ewers post injury.

Everything looked perfect till GA. Texas stats were off the chart!
You look at it now and its kind of underwhelming. Both the Michigan and OU wins look WAY worse after Saturday.
I thought Texas and Georgia would be a toss up and probably leaned Texas at first, but after those games I kind of pivoted toward Georgia by kickoff.

This is why we were mystified at that 4th & 1 attempt that was spotted by Ray Charles in stripes.

Don’t worry, next time we’ll wear crimson and put an A on our helmet. That seems to work against Georgia.
Nobody tell him.

So maybe y’all don’t have 2 Heisman contenders at QB after all?

Maybe this is just Ewers as a QB.

Alright, I rewatched through 3 quarters. Quinn flat out sucked. Oline played okay in pass block when he was in

Ohhhh Tayyyyy then.

The QB issue with Ewers is not something you fix in between games.
100% Agree
This is where the problems really begin..
vs Oklahoma - Quinn 1st game back. Super rusty. Feet are all over the place, eyes are wondering.. and he is constantly throwing off his back foot.. We crush Oklahoma because they have no offense.
vs Georgia - We al hoped good Quinn would show up for this game, but clearly that didn't happen.. he is either (1) still hurt (2) scared of getting reinjured (3) has developed the yips or (4) all of the above.
You are 100% right that it isn't fixable in one game.. but the reality is, no one has a front 7 like Georgia had on Saturday. I'm not even sure Georgia would have that good of a front 7 if a rematch was played today.. they were completely ridiculous.. on top of that, Georgia had scouted us perfectly. Props to him. They knew Ewers wouldn't step up in the pocket.. they knew he wasn't throwing deep.. they pinned their ears back and went after him. Smart coaching.
I'm curious to see what Sark does.. but Vanderbilt's D isn't OU's or GA's.. just have to try and get the W this week, and then figure out a new plan over the bye week.
