It will take a new coach imo. Only people who like DD are frat daddies.

Since 2005 we have been absolute garbage.

In related news, since 2005 Tennessee has a better record than Texas A&M.

2007 - 10-4
2008 - 5-7
2009 - 7-6

2006 - 4-8
2007 - 3-9
2008 - 9-4
2009 - 9-4

holy hell, I knew they were mediocre at best, but I didn't realize they were in full on dumpster fire mode.

Hence the reason we are on our third head coach since then.

meh...can't blame people for not wanting to waste a Saturday watching terrible football. I had season tickets last year and didn't renew. At one point I was thinking like an Ole Miss fan, I had more fun at the tailgate than the game.

If Tennessee loses to NC State in the opener, there will probably be about 80,000 in attendance for the home opener.

How many wins will it take to get people buying again? Or is it going to take a new coach to get yall excited and going again?

A new coach (preferably one that people have actually heard of) or a reason to believe Tennessee is about to start winning again.

I love going to Tennessee games no matter how bad we are, but I understand why others choose not to. Living in Colorado I can only go to 1 or 2 a year anyway.

I'm not worried about ticket sales. They'll go up when the product on the field is worth spending money on. At least the AD should get a message that fans aren't willing to spend out the nose to see a perennially bad product. Yet they keep raising ticket prices...no surprise that sales are falling.

Even if we sell out the stadium it will still be an average noise level because all of the old people (60% of the fanbase) never stand up and yell. Since this year is my last year at UT, I'm hoping we can actually do something positive and get people off their fricking asses.

At least Ole Miss has had some moments in the last few years. The 2008 victory over Florida, the Cotton Bowl wins against TTU and Okie State, both of the victories over LSU.

My best football related memory in that same time span is the slightly damaged couch I picked up the night Kiffin bolted for LA. Only the left fourth of it or so was burned and you can't even see it if you cover it with a blanket.

So even with reduced ticket sales UT would still sell out almost every stadium in the SEC based on thier sizes.

To answer the question, winning cures everything and IMO it will take a new coach to do that.
