I am good with us caving. We will take one for the team and cancel the season and save 8 losses of so.

All the players and coaches can

and we can start fresh.

UT Response

This is it.

This is where a school finally stands up to the NCAA and their biased investigations. This is where the NCAA finally starts realizing how many nails are in the coffin.

UT is simply going to tell them no, and they really can't do a dammn thing about it.

The formal notice is just that - a formality. Schools are usually provided a draft copy in advance so they know how to craft their public response.

So when UT isn't in the big dance next month are you guys going to try and show up anyway? What do you mean they can't do anything about it?

Thanks TD.

I am guessing no one has a copy of this draft?

As an Ole Miss fan that saw us penalized more for $15K in impermissible benefits than UT's own coach handing out bags of cash, I'd laugh if the NCAA finally hits UT hard. That said, everything the chancellor wrote is right and it's BS the NCAA is going to try and penalize someone for NIL when there has been zero clear guidance on it. I don't think anything will actually happen here.

Schools have been doing that for a solid decade now. People just don’t cooperate so the NCAA has nothing to go on and nothing ends up happening.

This isn’t your average NCAA “he said, she said” case. It’s all out there in public and they have the receipts. They his will be a pivot point, though, in where things go from here: either the NCAA is given authority by the other Presidents to pursue punishment and have it upheld by the courts (because UT absolutely will and should sue) OR they’re going to sit on this until people mostly forget about it and do next to nothing with some minor scholarship reductions and show cause penalties

Trust me when I say, we will not stand alone.

There are many schools tired of the NCAA BS>

Including the current national champion, Michigan.

Not unless Tennessee officials choose to leak it to their media. Usually not something a school wants to do until the formal notice is made public by the NCAA. More defensible PR position to do what they’ve done (release a scathing statement) and control the narrative instead of allowing fans, rivals, and media an early chance to nitpick details.
