What sayest the rant?
Has anyone ever analyzed the game after Bama straight up and ATS? We all know that they have been the big bully in the room for the last decade plus, but this might be an interesting discussion.
For example, maybe the results say that Ole Miss has lost every game the week after the Bama game for 12 straight years (or maybe they won every game following the Bama game).
Bama is bigger and stronger than most teams, and surely that takes a toll on some of them in the next game. But maybe teams bounce back and win every game after the Alabama game..
So.. anyone ever analyzed this?
If not.. I’ll take a stab at it.

Everything I’ve seen says the team is still upbeat and not deflated.
Seems one-sided.
Mullen gonna come out and say how deflated they are? Players gonna pout and give one word interviews? You're not gonna be able to see how deflated they are or aren't until they take the field again and execute for 60 mins.

Where do you get such a definitive statement?
It wasn't meant to be a definitive statement. It was painting a picture of a situation where Tenn may could cover a nearly 3 TD spread.
I honestly didn't realize how salty this suggestion would make Florida fans.

Florida's run-based offense (at least until the passing game picks up) will make taking the opposing team to cover very enticing each week.
Tennessee covering to me wouldn't shock me at all, but honestly I don't think the game will be in doubt.

Right. I could easily see a 38-17 type game which would barely cover. A field goal following a turnover could be the difference.

You are soft if you think that was salty. Damn.

I'm not sure if Florida will cover... it depends on how well their 3rd stringers play throughout the entire 4th quarter.

If Florida trounces Tennessee from the gun, could get ugly on Rocky Top. Tennessee fans aren't know to be a patient bunch.

Ut makes another coaching change this soon and they might as well go down and be a middle of the road fcs team.

Put the money on Florida but wait til midway thru the first quarter. Tennessee lately has been starting out hot for about two possessions and then wetting the bed.

You can't make this up.
Let me see if I can show you the difference.
This is a troll. It's his dumb arse opinion, nothing more.

Tennessee is playing fairly well. Gators emotionally deflated.
How the frick does he know if UF is emotionally deflated?
Has he been at UF practices all week?
As for his Tennessee comments. They lost to Pitt @ home. that does not signify "playing well" for an SEC team.
So he's just full of shite.
As for my post about UGA's last National Championship winning head coach, turning 90 on his next birthday.
That's just a sad pathetic fact, for a UGA fan.
Not my opinion, a fact.

That game was very much influenced by the refs. A bad spot kept it from OT and ultimately won the game for Pitt but there were far more issues and bad calls than that. Tennessee should've won despite that but made too many mistakes - dumb penalties and turnovers.

Doesn't change the fact that they lost to Pitt @ home.
A Pitt team that lost to Western Michigan at home 44-41 the very next Saturday.
That doesn't fit most SEC teams definition of "playing well"

I don't see us covering a 20 point spread. I am guessing the score will be something like 44-28. I would take the points in a back door cover.

Have you? Do you know they aren't deflated after having the number one team on the ropes?
I think it could easily be the case... I didn't say it definitely was...

It's all relative. It's early, but they're scoring a decent amount of points despite not much talent on that roster. I'm not comparing them to Alabama or saying they should be ranked, but to me, they look pretty fundamentally sound and playing well offensively. Defense is pretty good against the run.
A close loss to a power 5 team with a pretty good coach. After coming off a 3 win season. 2 more blowouts of which the outcomes were never really in doubt.
If you still think Florida will cover, whatever. That's fine. I was just posing the question. No need to get all bent out of shape.

Hey dipshit, I'm not the one who said a team is emotionally deflated. Because, I don't have any idea, if they are or not. And neither do you.
But I guess you have determined, that Florida's football team is emotionally deflated. All the way from your trailer park in Georgia?

Once again, I'll clarify my OP... I even emphasized the high points for you
I was talking about in the context of scenario in which UF fails to cover. I think it could easily be the case... I didn't say it definitely was...
Hope that helps, Gary
