He would also start over both Kendall Joseph and Jalen Williams at Clemson.

Jalen Williams doesn't even start for us... and Bryson would not play over Kendall Joseph or Tre Lamar.

Bryson is a good player similar in ability to Kendall... he would not be an upgrade. And he is currently listed as an edge defender... he certainly wouldn't start there for Clemson.

Player Total Tackles TFL Sacks INT Games
Kendall 206 16.5 4 2 30
Bryson 135 15.0 4.5 4 35

Based on the stats I don't see how you make that case.

If Jalen doesn't start for you guys then blame ourlads and 24/7 where I pulled your 2 deep (both agree he will be the starter).

And you realize that BAW was hurt last year and had to take a RS? He only played in 2 full games.

Additionally, Kendall has the luxury of playing behind Clemson's D-line. That has to count for something. And lets not forget that BAW went through a program change while at USC.

To many variables, but if I can't make the statement, you can't make it either. But I do know BAW would be in the running to start at at least one of the schools you listed.

Clemson’s returnees lead to Heisman buzz

CLEMSON (AP) — There’s plenty of buzz about the Heisman Trophy around Clemson this summer, even if no one’s sure which Tiger it’s focused on.

Maybe it’s senior quarterback Cullen Harper, who threw a record 27 touchdowns to just six interceptions last season and returns as the Atlantic Coast Conference favorite for player of the year.

Gamecocks are gonna be tough. Its a good matchup with us early in the season as our D will need a few games to gel and we are going to have to see how our offense shakes out with Chubb and Michel gone.

Make no mistake though, this is a super talented UGA team from top to bottom with quality depth and on paper we should win...but games aren't played on paper and I expect the loss of Roquan and the inexperienced secondary to allow USC to stay in the game, even with a talent deficiency

The question is...can Muschamp and company stop our offense? We have a stable of top shelf running backs, one of the better olines in the conference, and if Demetris Robertson gets cleared, def one of the best WR cores in the conference.

If they can't stop our offense then it won't matter how good Deebo and company are as they will be watching from the side lines.

Can't wait for this game...its gonna be a good one.

wow, crazy to see how much the game has changed in less than 10 years.

Its nuts looking at the passing numbers from then to today.

Other than LSU, this is probably the game I'm most excited over. LSU gets the edge just because I've never been to BR so it'll be exciting to see Death Valley in person.

You could have looked at the depth chart Clemson actually released post-spring. I counted the games that both played in... not number of seasons... that comparison is fair.

Yes it helps to play behind a great DL, but sometimes that can hurt you if your DL is making lots of tackles behind the line of scrimmage... We were top ten as a team with tackles for loss.

I will grant you that Bryson is a solid player. This defense is nowhere close to the D that produced your previous 5 game win streak over the Tigers. It might get there in a couple years.

So you're saying Simmons (a sophomore who was top 500 type player) would start over
BAW (A RS Sr who was a top 100 player)?

Duh. They are benefitting from playing in an east division that is literally shite outside of Georgia. USC just sucks less than the rest of the suckage over there. I hate to even tell the truth like this because I like the gamecocks and I love coach Muschamp. Good luck this year cocks.

I’m considering it. Went in 2012, but I was still in high school so I didn’t get a full experience.

Probably will, just gotta make my plans with some friends.

Probably. Once guys are seniors it's silly to point at recruiting rankings. Simmons is a freak of an athlete who can play Safety or SAM lb and came out of nowhere Kansas (which is why he is under the radar). He is a lot like TJ Green who was a lowly three star out of Alabama who was drafted in the second round and was also a freak athlete. I would wager he will be drafted higher than Bryson because of his athletic ceiling.

Listen I have much respect for the Citadel... Lots of friends and fine people from there. USC has some quality offensive pieces and a couple decent guys on defense. But I don't think anyone would say the overall talent on the USC 2018 defense is close to what teams like Alabama, Auburn, UGA or Clemson are fielding this year. That will probably change for the better unless Muschamp starts to lose some of the program momentum he has right now.

Probably not. That’s an overrated family of football players.

I'm not saying that. You said there wasn't 1 guy on SC that would start for any of those teams. I found you one guy that would at least be in the conversation. That's my point.
