OU whoukd be ranked way above UGA we didn’t lose a game played more ranked teams and beat higher ranked teams and then gave up a safety in the NC game e cause our offense sucked it up that drive abs couldn’t punt

We were top 10 when we played. We finished unranked at 8-5. Not a quality win.

But at least you have THE PROMISE!!!

Hey, I don't care where they rank us. I won't be mad about being on this list 3 times. There are tons of schools not on it at all.

I don't know why the mouthbreathers writing articles like these always put 2001 Miami at the top. There was nothing special about that team by national champion standards until they hit the NFL. It's one of those lies that has been repeated often enough that younger people who didn't see it begin to believe it and the cycle never stops.

Furthermore, I'm not sure how you rank teams 20 years apart. Are we rating how they would do against their contemporaries, or are we using a time machine to put these two teams on the same field at the same time? Linemen and DBs are getting bigger, backers are getting faster, QBs have been training with 7 on 7s since birth. 2019 LSU would put a spanking on 2001 Miami.

2008 Florida is underrated there.

Top 5 for sure.

Congrats to the Dawgs but UGA 2021 shouldn't be top 10.

2013 FSU barely beat auburn?

That AU team wasn't anything special and it took a fake punt with AU up 21-3 for this "all-time great" FSU team to get back in the game. If AU stopped them they would've gotten the ball in FSU territory and likely would've scored again and been on their way to a rout.

mean…UF’s offense was clearly superior to Georgia’s offense.

No. Both had top 5 offenses in their respective seasons.

It's purely a subjective "which was best" in their respective seasons. There's no way to do direct comparisons so it's obviously done in context.

2001 Miami had a few dominant victories over highly ranked teams. They punished a really good Nebraska in the defacto title game. They're not among the best title teams of all time but since 2000 I'd only put a few other teams up there:

2019 LSU
2009 Bama
Maybe 2018 Clemson
