We all watched him "coach" that year.

That Mississippi State game was something else.

That was very well stated and is an excellent analogy.

There is no way you went to bama...

7 years. Some were for productive reasons. Some were not.

was going to say the same thing. I don't think I have seen that guy have a genuine smile on his face for a long time. People can trash Saban all they want but he definitely had his moments when you know he is letting his guard down and is genuinely happy. You hear behind the scene stories about Saban that make him sound personable. I am not sure you are going to ever hear a story about Meyer like those.

I think after winning the national title with Ohio State said it all. In the post game celebration with his OHIO STATE team, he is holding up the #3 on his fingers and shouting into the crowd “THREE. THREE.”

As in the number of championships he, personally, has won. Not his team, him. He’s a complete egomaniac lmao

About coming back to UF, Meyer said "that ship has sailed". However, there's an insider that was told to not believe anything you're hearing.

It is the year 2024 and Bobby Petrino is the offensive coordinator at the University of Arkansas. Anything can happen.

Please point out in my post or anywhere did I question his character. I mentioned when it got tough to win he bailed so if that is what you mean maybe but I could care less what he did off the field.

This is absurd. There’s no such thing as easy paths to championships.

Absurd if you actually think some paths to NC are not easier than others. I did not realize ND when UA beat in the 2013 BCS game had a loaded schedule or every time OU has made it to the playoffs no one ever complained about their easy schedule.

So I will disagree with you that programs luck out on their schedule and even moreso back when only 2 teams could play for the championship prior to the playoffs. But believe what you want.

Yep. I think everyone looked at those BAMA squads and knew all around their programs were no where near that level top to bottom.

You aren't wrong that both situations were good and had power vacuums within each conference, but someone had to fill those voids and he did it. It takes a great coach to step in and be the undisputed alpha of a conference in just a few years.

What I was saying and agree to some extent but like you said or alluded to a lot easier when there are no other alphas to deal with and when they did show up we saw what happened.

Right those teams have 0 championships. Meyer has 3. The context to “championships” was winning championships. The examples you used are teams that didn’t win championships. Meyer won 3. So we’re talking about 2 different entities completely. So “luck” doesn’t even apply to your examples bc they’ve won nothing.

Urban is a top offensive coach and talent evaluator at the QB position.

Why hasn't a team contracted him as an analyst?

That pretty much is Urban Meyer in a nutshell. So much talent as a coach. But so many demons he will burn it all down. He has not found a bridge yet he can’t burn. Now no one wants to let him cross their bridge.

Meyer let Saban take the SEC from him and ran away like a biotch.

Mark Ingram on the same episode told Meyer that UF was the standard and Bama set their sights on Florida.

I remember hearing Rolando McClain talk about this also in another interview years back.

Meyer kneeled to Gen Zod and got his heart snatched out of his chest.
