LSU has the best win% of any SEC team in the SECCG in the state of Georiga.

Sample size is small. The same amount appearances as Tennessee until this year.

LSU is 7-1 in BCS/NY6 games.

LSU is 5-1 in the SECCG.

That's 12-2 (.857) in high profile games since the BCS era began.

I'd say 14 games is a large enough sample size to determine how well LSU performs when the lights are brightest.

Don't let that hurt your feelings.

I'm still triggered by the one loss.

LSU + Tennessee + Auburn + State + Ole Miss + UF + Vandy + Arkansas + Kentucky + SCar = 0 losses in CFP

A1abana + Georgia + Texas A&N = 4 losses in CFP

Ouch!

I agree. But for some odd reason this topic isn't creating a lot of "discussion" from other SEC fans.

LSU has had to play Tennessee and Georgia in Atlanta in SEC championship games where it was a road game because those schools controlled the crowd. LSU is 5-1 in those road games basically.

Not to be picky but why do you include SECCG appearances for LSU when that wasn't in the OP criteria for this thread?

The NY6 format is 10x better than the BCS format. It gives more teams a chance to play for a bowl game without it feeling completely pointless. That fiesta bowl win over UCF definitely propelled LSU to have the year we just did. It didn’t work that way with Texas winning the sugar bowl and claiming to be baaaaaack.

I just wanted to dispel the myth that LSU only does well when playing high profile games in New Orleans.

LSU is 5-1 (.833) in such games in New Orleans and 7-1 (.875) outside of LA in those high profile games that include the SECCG/BCS/NY6/Playoff.

The SECCG always provides an opponent from the SEC East that is equal to or in many cases superior to any that you will face in post season games of that magnitude.

I have no problem with that.My problem is that you included that metric after someone said that LSU's sample was too small. If you do that, then you have to include for other teams' stats. You can't include favorable stats for your team while not using them for other teams. UGA, UF, AU, Tenn numbers change when you include SECCG records and that changes the overall numbers.

Hell, even Mizzou and So Carolina numbers change for this thread if you include SECCG appearances.

Yes sir, Kentucky has played in all of those prestigious Bowl Games.

Unfortunately, all of those appearances for Kentucky were before the BCS/Playoff era.

He was just using the SECCG numbers to dispel the comment that LSU only has a good record because of the home field advantage record.

He wasn't comparing those numbers against anyone else.

He still added those numbers to boost LSU's numbers for postseason play. It affects other teams numbers as well as LSU's. The last segment in the OP excluded Mizzou and So Carolina and both have played in the SECCG. If he uses it for one, he should use it for all.

Not true.He brought that up when somebody(secuniversity) said that LSU had a small sample size. He did bring it up in another post though.
