NET has some really head scratching rankings.

Apparently QUAD 1 doesn't actually mean that much for some teams.

We need open source rankings at some point.

It relies way too much on efficiency rankings and not enough on resume

Something is bad off with it.

There is no way Houston should be ahead of Tennessee.

It's just dumb.

It's also why Houston is always a NET monster. Those stat based metrics explode when you demolish a decent team 85-50.

It definitely means something in terms of a teams ceiling, particularly defensively.

But, the NET isn't really set up to measure teams that have the variety of weapons/experience to consistently end up on the winning side of 85-80 games.

That's why the committee doesn't just seed teams based on NET.

I think people forget that college hoops are way different than college football. In Auburn's case, a loss won't drop you 3-4-5 spots when it's against the #6 (soon to be top 5) team in the country - especially with the already accomplished resume.

I mean Auburn had the highest KenPom score ever going into that UF game and lost to #6 so I wouldve been surprised had they dropped.

Auburn better enjoy this team! It’s doesn’t happen very much all the top guys becuase a junior and senior team with talent to match . Reminds me of the KU teams of 90s 2000s
