The situation has gone to far for him to try to get more money from NCST.The bridges have been burned and their fans are pissed and are saying good ridence. You can’t come back from that.

It would be funny to see LSU pay through the nose for a mediocre coach. Let the bidding war begin!

Holy shite the lack of awareness.

I would. frick that. There is no way a report is gonna come out and say that I am the coach unless this other guy comes. Either I am your guy or I'm not.

I can't believe they didn't take the low hanging fruit here.

Has he actually won anything? Has he ever gotten to the S16 with any team except 2019 LSU?
wouldn’t that be equivalent to the greatest aggie achievement in basketball ever?

Why are you talking?

I would think you losers would try for better than just middle of the pack. Maybe this is Verge’s philosophy?

NC State fans are excited to pursue a different coach.

We are paying a lot less for mediocrity these days. Thanks. At least we are getting good value and there is hope for the future.

Maybe he is using this as leverage to get back to VCU. He has expressed regret over leaving VCU for LSU.

Which makes one wonder why a guy who regrets going to LSU the first time would do it a second time unless it was just for the money.

quote:

The Nashville, Tennessee, native, who left VCU after the 2017 tournament to coach LSU, where he stayed for five seasons until 2022, admitted he regretted the move from Richmond to Baton Rouge and wished he had thought about it for a longer time. “I didn’t fully appreciate VCU when I was there as a head coach. As an assistant I did appreciate everything,” Wade said. “When I was a head coach I was young, just ‘move, move, move, move, move.’ Looking back, I should have never left – I’m reflective enough to admit that. I should’ve stayed awhile longer. We had something really (good) going.”

How high will LSU go for that one year of success? These are legitimate questions. Just like you hired a football coach at record amounts that hasn't ever won when it matters. It will be fun to watch.

We already paid Jimbo. Thanks. We learned our lesson about overpaying with Fisher.

I have news for you. The coach you will have to pay 10’s of millions for has never been to an Elite 8
