At this point, Gus has not granted his release. Will post more as I find out more information.

Update: He was still waiting on his release to be granted early this morning, but AL.com is reporting it has been signed.

Bryon Cowart has been granted his release from the Auburn football program, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed.
Cowart's request was "in the process" and up to coach Gus Malzahn as 7:45 a.m. Tuesday and has since been granted, sources said.

I expect it to be true, but there are conflicting reports.
Jay Tate hasn't heard, and Brandon Marcello claims it to be true.
Either way, his depth was nice, but he has been a huge bust and Rodney Garner obviously made his arse quit.
