Man kills fishing buddy and claims Bigfoot made him do it
I post this as a proud southerner.
I post this as a proud southerner.
quote:
Larry Sanders, 53, stands charged with first-degree murder after allegedly admitting first to a family member and later to police to killing his noodling fishing partner Jimmy Knighten, who Sanders claimed wanted him dead by the hand of the mythical monster Bigfoot. Noodling is a popular fishing technique used in the southern United States to catch a fish by sticking one’s hand in its mouth.
The local sheriff, John Christian, told local media that Sanders “appeared to be under the influence of something” when he told police he had struck, strangled, and then drowned Knighten.

It's even better if you watch the embedded news report.

Is that the test that confirms both parents are related?

Eastern Oklahoma is as Southern as Mississippi, Alabama, and the rest of the deep south.

It's not Little Rock and Memphis enough right?

Story doesn't sound so "southern" to me....geez, with all the quacks out here on the West Coast we could definitely top this story on the weirdness scale.
Facts are facts: although Missouri was a border state, Missouri declared her secession from the Union on the grounds of hostile acts by the Union against the state and the people, Missouri was then admitted into the Confederacy by the Confederate States Congress as the 12th Confederate state on the 28th of November, 1861.
I say give Missouri the benefit of the doubt. They be Southerners, albeit, a bit more yankeefied than the rest of the South.
