2016-1
2017-1
2018-1
2019-1
2020-3 (we were terrible)
2021-2 (again, terrible)
2022-1 for any appreciable amount of time.

If you’re playing more than 1, you’re not good

Rebs' offense should be potent, if Lane doesn't go for it 43 times next year.

Our defense is very ungood though.

2017, we went to the national championship game. Our starting QB got hurt on the first offensive series of the first game.

2018, we played 2 QBs. Lost in the SECCG.

2020, starter out of fall camp sucked. We played 2 more QBs.

2021, starter was hurt preseason which worsened week 1. Switched to stetson. Had competition for a few games and then won NCG with stetson.

I wouldn't call it a competition, at least not between Stet and JT.

JT was hurt, got better and started again, then got hurt again. Stet started, once they realized he was much better than Beck at the time, and played while JT sat due to injury. JT didn't come back until the Mizzou game and by the next week Kirby and Monken decided Stetson was their QB. Just kind of sounded like somewhere before the Mizzou game it was Stetson's to lose and he didn't lose it .

It's amazing considering we had half a team just a couple of years ago.

Yea, because you just know these are 100 percent accurate.
Let's see this list after the season is over.

And if they were different with Bama at the top or even ahead of LSU, you'd be here puffing your gump chest out.

The fact that stetson and JT were swapping series means that it was a competition.

The fact that stetson won out and took all the reps afterward does not diminish the fact that both QBs had opportunities to leave their mark.

The argument is about whether the depth at QB matters. I say that for UGA, it absolutely does under Kirby.

And in none of the seasons prior to 2021 would anyone confuse UGA’s qb situation with one that was stable and good and talented.

Those teams won because everything else was light years ahead of anyone not named Bama. If you would have had a decent qb any of those years (and a play calling philosophy more advanced than “don’t frick this up”) y’all would have run roughshod over everyone and not had to wait until 2021 to win a title.

Lol

Take Burrow away and our QB room is as good if not better than LSU over the years.

Sometimes, narratives run on the rant without any meat behind them.

Does a team "need" a Heisman type QB to win a championship? Yes or no?

Completely agree.

2012 - Murray > Mettenberger
2013 - Murray = Mettenberger (1-0-1, UGA)
2014 - Mason > Jennings (2-0-1, UGA)
2015 - Lambert > Harris (3-0-1, UGA)
2016 - Etling = Eason (3-0-2, UGA)
2017 - Fromm > Etling (4-0-2, UGA)
2018 - Fromm > Burrow (5-0-2, UGA)
2019 - Burrow > Fromm (5-1-2, UGA)
2020 - Brennan > Bennett (5-2-2, UGA)
2021 - Bennett > Johnson (6-2-2, UGA)
2022 - Bennett > Daniels (7-2-2, UGA)

When did they swap series? They put Stetson in one series vs South Carolina after we scored the two opening drives with JTD.

Stetson threw a pick and did not come back in until we were up 40-6 to kill the clock.

We threw for 307 yards in that game.

JTD 23 of 31, 303 yards, 3 tds, 1 int

Stet 1 of 3, 4 yards, 0 tds, 1 int

Against Vandy, JT played every snap until we were up 35-0. He reinjured himself in that game and never came back until Mizzou in the second half as Stet's backup.

Go check the boxscores if you don't believe me.

Congratulations. Your qb room has been as good as or better than a top 110 ranked qb room.

If you have top 1 or 2 OL/DL/RB/LB/TE groupings and top 4-10 WR/DB groupings no it doesn’t.

That’s my entire point. Qb depth is a useless statistic if the rest of your team is absolutely loaded.

I don’t think Hogs would trade RB room with anyone. QB room is definitely in the top 8.

It's three deep, but three average qb's deep. I would rather have one stud and two less than average backups.
