Everyone believes their best team is better than everyone else's best team. I would only add that the QB position is typically the difference maker. You would be better off by ranking the best teams based on the most clutch / best QB.
Have at it...

hmm, didn't realize florida won the NC that year
Don't be a douche. You know exactly what I mean.
I'm just pointing out the obvious.
You wouldn't have used the time played rankings unless they were misleading in the way they were. To have an honest representation of the teams you played you need to use the end of season rankings.
It wasn't to be a douche, sarcasm was just the easiest way to point out the rankings you used made no sense.

So what's the point of this? Sure the 2010 bama team had a frick ton of talent, but so did the 2011 team. The players on that team are still going through their college careers but that 2011 team pumped out 4 first rounders in the 2012 draft. the 2011 bama team was stupid talented ad that, with their title, is why people consider them one of the best of the BCS era

Alabama played the #10 team, the #20 team, the #17 team, the #2 team, and the #3 team then. That's five teams that finished in the Top 25. 5 ranked opponents with 3 of them finishing in the Top 10? And the 3 teams they played from the Top 10 they beat them by double digits? Yeah...that doesn't hurt my argument at all. Bottom line...they played the second toughest schedule in the FBS that year and went 14-0.

And 1995 Nebraska had no close games. That's why I put them over '01 Miami
I don't have a gripe putting 1995 Nebraska above 2001 Miami but the Canes were better than everybody else. They pass the eyeball test and their resume was outstanding contrary to what everybody else might think. How many national championship teams beat six ranked teams in a season? 2001 Miami did and a majority of those wins were complete beatdowns. They are easily the best national championship team from the BCS era.

Their regular season schedule looked like this:
@ Penn State (5-6)
vs. Rutgers (2-9)
@ Pittsburgh (7-5)
vs. Troy (7-4)
@ Florida State (8-4)
vs. West Virginia (3-8)
vs. Temple (4-7)
@ Boston College (8-4)
vs. Syracuse (10-3)
vs. Washington (8-4)
@ Virginia Tech (8-4)
A decent schedule. But their Big East schedule was indeed a joke.

There's a lot of stupid in that statement.

I think y'all had an underrated offense in 2011. A perfect balance of 215 pypg and 215 rypg. Gives me hope for CJM.

Look up Bama's TD% inside the red zone while McElwain was there and get back to me.

It was at least over 80% every year he was there.

95 Nebraska posted 60+ on one of the most explosive teams I've ever seen in the NC in Florida. Florida was 12-0 and no team had come within 10 points of them until Nebraska slaughtered them. Nobody did that to Steve Spurrier when he was at Florida. 95 Nebraska wins.

Miami's schedule THAT YEAR was ranked #18 by the BCS SOS rating. That does not compare them to champions of other years in any way. In the BCS SOS, Miami's schedule scored a .59164. That ranked 4th among all BCS champions. A top 5 schedule among champions according to that rating.
Miami's schedule also had half their opponents finished ranked. No other champion had more. Miami's schedule had BCS oppoennts in 91.7% of their games. No other champion had more. Miami played zero FCS teams, 8 BCS champions did. Miami's opponents finished with a winning record in FBS 66.7% of the time. That's 4th among BCS champions. 2001 Miami had one the top 5 schedules of the BCS champions by using most objective measure.

There have been 3 that beat 6 teams that finished ranked.

Whether Team A was better than Team B is purely subjective, even when they played each other. The better team doesn't always win.
My view is that an undefeated team has done everything it can do; that's why it's called a perfect season.
I would rather have a perfect season than have the "better team."

I mean... Bama was a blocked field goal away from losing to Tennessee
The only reason UT had a chance was because of a fluke fumble by Ingram when we were running out the clock.

71 Nebraska beat #2 (their only loss), #3 (only lost to #1 and #2) and #4 (their only loss).
