Led Florida to the same amount of points last year as Trask this year. Like UT though neither are very good.

Trask performed much better than Felipe vs uga and overall. Bad luck to have to play him

Teams records following, unless you don't think that matters.

Probably because of all the times poor ole Alabama and UGA were the opponent.

Plus, everyone knows the more time Gus has to work with his QB the worse he's going to get so the extra week helped UGA in this case.

Agreed, they would've never been close against UGA or LSU with Franks. They were losing 19-0 @ Lexington when Franks went down, no way they come back with him and they probably would've lost to SC if he had stayed healthy.

So nothing like advanced stats.

Off weeks can be huge for physical and mental renewal.

You should see the data on the WLOCP.

It always favors the team with the bye. So much so that for just over a decade, both teams have the bye for the week before.

UGA has not faced a single Power 5 team besides Notre Dame who played the game with its starting QB.

Had you been paying attention the last couple of years, you'd know that the backup QB is actually our kryptonite. It's amazing we've won a single game all year at this point.

By the time we played Florida, Trask WAS the legit starter. He had nearly 6 games under his belt by then, and had won them all.

Haha fair point.

Wish we still had one

It depends on the circumstances. If a bye week is the difference between good players sitting or starting due to injury, it can create an advantage.

this is utterly ridiculous. It may not be an advantage on gameplanning or pulling out secret playbooks but there is literally no way to deny that it's an advantage in the health department and getting guys rested up.

Franks would have put 50 on the Dawgs.

Sad his sure lock on the Heisman ended the second game of the season. Guy was a better version of Joe Montana.
