it looks as if UGA is waking up after decades of dormancy in sports. serious. you now have a baseball team and a track team and it appears a football team also (altho richt wasn't as bad as people say).
what's the cause for the upsurgance? new AD? Support from Admin?

They hired a real AD a couple of years ago and it’s paying dividends. LSU needs to follow suit with a better AD

Why is there indoor and outdoor track? Does anyone know? I see at least some of the events are duplicated. Never understood why.

Mcgarity has been around since '10 and he was on an extreme hotseat coming into this past academic year.
Baseball,Basketball,Gymnastics,Tennis and Golf had all gone in the toilet under his watch.He's also been an extreme tightwad up until about 3 years ago...I think I'd give more credit to President Moorhead (hired in '13)
Mcgarity's getting close to retirement and I don't think very many folks will be sad to see em go.
