So far the highlight of Fields career was his NSD show. UGA is lucky the guy and his Mom are gone.

Tate Martell is not going be granted that waiver
He'll be be playing for Miami next year...book it.
He's lawyered up big time and his team is absolutely prepared to go to the matts with the NCAA.
Doesn't matter if it's a waiver or court injunction.The
NCAA almost ALWAYS loses in court and the court of public opinion. They fold like a cheap suit from public
pressure these days.

Every Southern Institution will have that issue brought against them. If there is a Confederate Monument within 50 miles, they can make that claim. Remember Southern Schools a members of the NCAA.
Why stop at Southern schools? All any kid has to do is claim he was told or heard someone yell something racist from the stands at any school and he has grounds. I think it's more likely that the NCAA just abolishes the "sit out a year" rule in the next few years. Virtually every appeal is being approved anyway.

Is UGA admitting they are a racist school by not fighting Fields immediate eligibility ? Timing wasn’t right to fight it, but it does leave a stain that will be talked about.
C'mon dude, I am a Tech guy and I don't even buy that shite.

And the NCAA knows their future depends on them fighting it. That is why it will never happen.

None of the Georgia fans ITT are even trying to deny it, they're just deflecting by calling Auburn fans obsessed

NCAA is already dying a slow death in other courts over anti-trust and profit sharing issues. They're actually more likely to just acquiesce to the demands of the athletes and make transferring open if only to appease the parties that are coming after them.
The thing they won't abandon is the "amateurism" notion. Sad, too, because all they would really need to do is abolish rules that prevent student-athletes from profiting off of their likeness while in school/eligible. You don't even have to pay players if you would just let them accept cars from a local dealership in exchange for appearing on a billboard ad or in a commercial. Let the students participate in the free market as their likeness allows and a lot of this shite goes away.

Because the Left (50%) has a big hard-on for the South lately (Red States). Even heard some talk about kicking certain states out of the union.
The NCAA could not withstand free agency, you would see something similar to the Big Market Cities in Baseball.

Their "future" depends on fighting Tate Martell's transfer? How so?
They make all their money off basketball anyway and if if their future depended on players not leaving schools they'd still be fighting "one and done"

Oh boy,
This is a really bad OP.

Like I said in previous post. The NCAA knows that Free Agency will not work, especially in a corrupt group of schools in College Sports. They would eat each other alive.

He's arguing he should eligible because his coach left
not because he was unhappy, lack of playing, etc.
Big difference
It's a more legitimate reason than Fields IMO.

Maybe, but there is no difference. They are not preventing players from transferring, just playing immediately.
Can you imagine what the system will look like if they allow you to play immediately. The non-P5 schools will become just like JCs. The losing teams within the P5 will become farm systems to the winning programs. Coaches will be fired based on transfer numbers. It would be the end of Major College Sports. I didn't even mention the corruption.

Maybe???It's the exact reason he's using and it's a huge difference and while I think the kid is a douchebag I think he has a legitimate argument.

Unhappy vs unwelcomed. One is an argument the other is pacification. Both are not legit in this case, that is why UGA should be screaming.

Will irons teach us how to prove there are zero racists at auburn?

Why should a player have to lose a year of playing time if the coach who recruited him can move on to greener pastures?
If the coach doesn't have to sit out a year niether should the player.

You think about Georgia a lot, don't you?
It’s an unusual news story. Do you not read much news? I thought UGA was one of the top classical arts universities in the country.
I would hope a UGA fan would at least read the sports section of the newspaper.
