What on earth made you think that? I mean, compared to Auburn? maybe. But not compared to a lot of others.

I would hope a UGA fan would at least read the sports section of the newspaper.
Crap, dude. You read newspapers? I quit taking the newspaper over 10 years ago!

Nah. It didn't take that. It took much, much less. now, if we ever do get that third Championship I can only imagine what Auburn fans will do. leave the site, I would think. What would you have to post about?

Where did you see that? I missed that. I'm sure you have a link showing where he got his transfer based on racism.

I guess you fricking missed this: "grounds for his transfer request was an incident that took place in late September 2018, when a member of the Georgia baseball team shouted a racial slur suggesting that coach Kirby Smart put Fields into the game in place of starter Jake Fromm. The baseball player was dismissed from the program the following week."

You must have missed the thread with the sophomore UGA business major who was acting like UGA is the Ivy of the South.

I added "classics" because I know UGA actually has a very good program. It was an attempt to be charitable and assume your grads would stay informed.

"Compared to Auburn" isn't a good comparison in general, as Auburn is a STEM-focussed school.

I read Drudge and the newspaper I get for free at my grad school. I'm not sure why you're implying reading a print version of the news is inferior. It's literally the same content you find online.

If you didn't hear about OP's article, I'd assume you are completely isolated (Facebook, Reddit, etc.), though, as the Justin Fields story is well-circulated.

Then you must have missed the bolded part?

Their fans don’t seem to think so but tell me another player in the SEC that was allowed to transfer without penalty because of racism? This is unprecedented and not a good look for Georgia no matter what their delusional fans say.

Surprisingly enough, I do not read every thread.

While true, I don't understand why somebody would pay for the news when you can see it on the internet for free from multiple sources.

Circulated by mouth and rumors. Interestingly enough I don't believe everything I hear or read. I'm a bit more choosy. but for an Auburn fan to call Georgia racist?

I guess that made everything right and he now feels he should have stayed because UGA got rid of the one racist on campus.

Racism at Auburn?

LINK

“Nine workers in the Auburn University athletic department who were laid off or reassigned have filed a federal lawsuit accusing the school of racial discrimination. …The lawsuit says the plaintiffs can attest to rampant discrimination against African-American workers in the university’s athletic department.”

Two Pi Kappa Alphas donned Klan robes for a Halloween party at Auburn University in Alabama.

LINK
It's been over a year since the brothers of Beta Theta Pi and Delta Sigma Phi at Auburn University decked out in blackface at their Halloween parties. When photos of the students surfaced on the Internet, Auburn found itself in the national spotlight--albeit a not very flattering one (see Black Issues, Nov. 22, 2001). But by most accounts, gains have been on the Alabama campus since last year.

I think I'll pass on Auburn fans lecturing us on racism.

never a good look, obviously. But are you under the impression nobody in the stands of an Alabama football game has ever said the "N" word?

UGA thinks they are beyond their racist past. It comes back and bites them every now and then. I guess the gene pool doesn’t get mixed around much due to all the instate students from the lottery.

No comment on the numerous racist incidents at Auburn, huh? Surprise, surprise.

So, there is no point in debating you, if you just ignore any reporting you don't like.

I'm not calling Georgia racist, btw. One of your former players is.

In 2018?

Come on man. This is unprecedented. I don’t claim to know what is going on at Georgia but his attorney said it just wasn’t this one incident.

I didn't mean you, per se. I mean people in general. I mean, you were the one that seemed surprised that i had not read about it in the newspaper.

You don't? you accept everything you hear or read without question? Seriously?

No he didn't. Read his comment and he clearly says that was not the case. You do believe what is in the news, don't you?

Really?

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A 19-year-old student from New Jersey has been expelled from the University of Alabama after posting racist videos where she repeatedly uses a racial slur.
Is your memory that short?

Thanks for clarifying. Now the NCAA can revoke his exemption and he can sit for a year, like every normal transfer.

When?

This is actually what he said

quote:

My overall experience at UGA was fully consistent with UGA's commitment to diversity and inclusion," Fields said. "My sister is a softball player at UGA. I am still close friends with many of my UGA teammates.

Ben Sasser the baseball player who yelled the slur was actually a childhood friend of Fields who grew up playing youth baseball with em.Betcha didn't know that either
