Sport, the starting QB of the Rams is a UGA QB and the reigning NFL MVP with a SB win a few years ago. Gurley was the starter and they knew he would be the starter as soon as he was back from his ACL tear. Not the same at all.
They obviously think Simpson will be their starter at some point. The 9ers thought the same about Trey Lance who was a top 5 pick. We'll have to wait and see.
Stetson was a fourth round pick and anyone who actually follows the NFL knew that would be a long shot.
I'll again remind this board that you laughed at the thought that Stetson would be drafted at all at one point.

The difference in this case is Bama has mostly dominated LSU since the 2011 mulligan. Georgia’s only wins against Bama since smartphones were released are mulligans.
