You need it for Title IX. There are a lot of upkeep/feed/boarding costs though, so you might be able to more affordably have a D1 Ladies Soccer/Rowing/Whatever team instead.
Adding an NCAA sport would benefit us a whole lot more than NCEA.

If I recall it was SouCar that was picked to win the East last season, so there's that. How did it go for you? Don't fret, though. St. Spurrier will only be around for 2-3 more years. Then Junior can take over as your new HC.
And I don't recall anybody getting fired at Georgia...particularly after losing to SC. Not sure which alternate universe you are living in.

I feel very apprehensive about gymnastics for some reason. I do think we can field a competitive team but we're already way behind all of the other SEC teams that have gymnastics. The good thing is, if we do decide to add it we already have the facility for it - Carolina Coliseum. We could renovate it, make it sparkly and use it for gymnastics and volleyball.
I'm more in favor of adding women's lax and women's rowing though. Then eventually men's lax.
I realized the other day that we have more D1 sports than most schools in the conference, so we probably won't add a sport any time soon.
