Amazing you think it only takes three players to have a great team.

Auburn only had one player on the 2010 team... I know this to be true because I read it here on the rant.

Richard Tardits was an exchange student from France and walked on at UGA. Does that count?

Didn't Zeier come from overseas? Military family.

That's a short list.

The E:60 episode on AJ Green’s HS basketball and assistant football coach/team is inspiring.

LINK

Capt Mulkey from the Charleston Fire Department coached the kids from middle school through high school (Summerville High) and told them they’d win the state title their senior year. Capt Mulkey was killed with 8 other fire fighters trying to contain a fire at a furniture warehouse a month before the playoffs.

Summerville HS goes on to win the title with Mulkey’s fire helmet on the bench.

I remember that. I think the furniture store was down on Savannah Highway up from Palmetto Ford .... which always made me wonder why Summerville fire fighters were all the way down in West Ashley fighting that fire.

Yep, it’s on Savannah highway. The site is now a memorial to the fire fighters.

Mulkey was part of CFD not SFD. However, they called in departments from all of the Charleston metro area for this fire.

My poor city seems to have every tragedy revolve around the number 9.

Hurricane Hugo-‘89
Sofa Warehouse-9 killed
Emanuel AME-9 murdered
