Kirby's actions in the portal don't support that notion. If he really wanted to play murderball why didn't he go get another RB or a big blocking TE in the portal this offseason? Instead, he snagged two of the best WR prospects available b/c he knew Beck was gonna sling the ball around this year.

Of course I’m gonna give him a chance. My only point is that we haven’t really seen that consistent threat for Milton or Jones yet, which makes it a concern.

295 ypg passing is apparently "murder ball" now.

We didn't see it from Cook until 2021.
We didn't see it from McIntosh until 2022.

Dell McGee is the best RB coach in the country.

If there is room for improvement, he is putting them through the drills to maximize what they can give to the program.

I made a similar post a week ago. The general consensus among UGAy fans was that there was nothing to worry about.

One said they are NOT thin at RB, as all the important folks are healed up. Another said they would simply Air Raid it. Although there was no mention of how they would do that with Simple Jack at the helm.

The only RB who is out for the season is our #3.

No one noticed... but our #3 was also out all of last season.

Next man up.

The best ability is availability. We have to assume Milton is not going to be healthy until proven otherwise, at this point.

Not worried; we got Cash Jones aka White Lightenin to take up the slack.

He is healthy now.
That could change in an hour. But he is ready for a big game.

Now a vol doesn’t understand how a passing offense works? Expected.

UGA is dinged up with RB's (top 2 guys have nagging stuff) and lost their #3 for the season (Branson Robinson).

UGA doesn't run the ball like they used to when in the lead. They pass much more when games are in doubt and shift to running the ball to get to the end of the game with a big lead. An example of that would be UGA vs SC last year. Kenny McIntosh only had 4 carries as the starter. Most of the reps were by the backups once UGA had a big lead to run out the clock.

Compare that to the UK game, the one game UGA basically went run first the whole game. McIntosh had 19 carries. Edwards (then the #2) had 14.

More than likely, their top 2 (Edwards and Milton) will be out of the lineup pretty early in the first 2 games if not resting entirely. These are 2 opponents that the young guys will probably be good enough against and they can use the snaps. Hopefully the top guys will be fully healed by SC and ready to go and from then on we should be fine.

If UGA did get into a scenario where they wanted to run early in a game, it will likely not be as useful given the current nagging injuries. Once those go away they should be okay.

That isn’t really true. Cook had 225 receiving yards in 2020 and McIntosh had 242 in 2021. No RB on our roster has sniffed that many.

It’s an unproven aspect of UGA’s team. Not the end of the world by any stretch and very much nitpicking.

Y'all have enough concerns without attempting to address ones we may or may not have.

Dawgs current situation at RB.

RB1 Kendall Milton - hamstring at 80-90% healthy

RB2 Faijun Edwards(top receiving rb) - mcl injury but is practicing. He had a mcl injury last year also but still played a full season averaging over 5ypc.

RB3 Branson Robinson- Ruptured patella tendon. Out for the season.

RB4 Roderick Robinson 6'1 240 4.5 forty. 2022 Mr. California in football.

RB5 Andrew Paul - Last year was ahead of Branson Robinson before tearing his ACL. Practicing but don't know if he is 100%

RB6 Cash Jones - Kirby said he is the fastest rb(I believe him) and pound for pound the strongest rb(I don't believe him).

RB7 Savaughn Clark - 6'1 215 SR. walkon

RB8 Len'neth Whitehead - 6'2 230 walking. Converted LB

RB9 Kyron Jones - 6' 200 true freshman. Ran a 10.60 100 meters in high school. 100 and 200 meter state champion.

If SEC play was within the first 2 weeks I would be concerned. But it ain't and I'm not. Starters should get pulled by the second series of the 3rd quarter in the first 2 games.
