Why doesn’t UGA have more success? It’s right in one of the most populated metro areas. It seems like they could take who they want from Atlanta. Is HS bball not good in the metro? Is it a lack of commitment from the athletic department/boosters? It seems like a sleeping giant with the inherent advantages.
Also, the TV presentation is terrible at their current facility. The lighting is really bad.

I think White is making strides there.

Why aren’t we better at baseball too? Because the admin has been cheap historically. Seems like White has us in the right direction though

If Georgia basketball cracks the top 20, the long 23 year national nightmare will be over!

We’re solid this year. We have elite guards for the first time in a long time.

I won’t claim to know anything about this season’s team. But I think I read somewhere recently that we haven’t played anybody.

Georgia has only won the SEC 3 times.
One final four appearance (1983).
They need to stick to football

Our athletic department basically went from being one of the very best in the country from 2000-2008 to sitting on its hands for the next 13 years under piss poor management from Famon Evans and Greg McGarity (both hires made by our former President Michael Adams who intentionally handicapped Athletics so it would not outshine academics).
While everyone else in conference was improving facilities we did quite literally nothing for football, basketball, and baseball. Only within the last 5 or so years hve we finally caught back up or pulled ahead (depending on sport) in facilities (tennis, baseball, softball, track, football, and basketball have all received expansions or larger scale renovations) and only in the last 3 years have we replaced the mediocre hires in baseball, basketball, gymnastics, soccer, track, and volleyball with actual competent coaches.

It's getting better. And as a Georgia fan, I am satisfied with that. We have learned to enjoy every victory.
If we can somehow finish the year ranked, it will be amazing.
