Thomas Darrah is the best QB we've faced this year and it's not even close.

ACL, I haven't been around very long but your posts are hilarious. I like the confidence. Are you a Bama or LSU fan? From your post, I would think Bama fan. Correct?

I just dont see how your offense is going to survive our D with no running game. No one has been able to do it all year, so why do you think yall are going to?

How can anyone say Javy is overrated as a cover CB.

Because he's not as good as Bama fans think he is. He is overrated by Bama fans, and to a certain extent, the national media because of his return skills.

Here is a good assessment from college football insiders, who have him rated as the eighth best corner in the draft this year.

They describe his as a GOOD but not great corner. I think that is accurate.

8. Javier Arenas, Alabama – Arenas is not only a good cornerback, but he is a great returner and last season he returned three punts for touchdowns. He has the ability to score every time he touches the ball with great speed and elusiveness as a returner. As a cornerback he has good ball skills, but is short standing in 5' 9". Arenas does have good size weighing almost 200 pounds. He isn’t a shutdown corner but he can cover man to man and also is good in zone coverage. He is effective supporting the run, and come off the edge on the blitz. But what makes Arenas so special is his ability as a game changer in the return game. This season so far on defense has 45 total tackles 8.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks and one interception. In the return game he has 19 punt returns for 320 yards (16.8 average per return) and 10 kick off returns for 278 yards (27.8 average per return).

They haven't needed a running game to beat anyone else....

Nobody has beaten them, either, genius. What makes you think you can beat them? See how that works? Its pretty easy to type, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

you do understand that our D is much better than anyone you have faced all year right?

again, they have not played a team near as good as Alabama this year. Understand? It is pretty simple.

I'm an LSU fan. Notice the word "Tiger" in my user name.

And Texas has faced a couple of top ten defenses already in Nebraska and Oklahoma.

I for one always find it very hard to judge a secondary. If you can't get pressure on the QB at the DL then most DBs and Safeties will look average at best.

I don't think this is always the case. In 2004, Alabama was very inconsistent at getting pressure on the QB, but still led the SEC in pass defense.

Let's just say the guy who dropped the INT (a 2nd grader could have caught) against TT last year still starts for the whorns.

He gets replaced frequently by Brewster, who IMO is better than Gideon.

And scored only 13 and 16 points against them.
