Obsession you wish. Licking out chops and laughing yes. Trash talking is a part of football. Especially on here. Especially at yall. You'd think gator fans would of figured that out by now.

Florida looked horrible but they've looked horrible in P5 openers/early OOC games before and cleaned things up. That said, they've got to be more than team RB on offense in conference play.

There's not much to say about their defense given that Miami's OL was so bad and their QB inexperienced. I'd like a better measure of their DL than a blitz-a-thon in those conditions but we won't have that for a while. Their secondary did not look good.

We're 5-5 that past decade but they own us? And our current coach is 2-1 against them and won them by a combined 54. But they own us, huh?

LOL Ok

Who was talking trash ? Most of us felt we would win 8/9 games this year . We are still on pace for that .

No y’all started it, we had no reason to even think about y’all except for one week a year until Florida started jacking that jaw.

Mullen talked trash....and we talked trash back at the Florida fans. It's probably pretty even.

Shoot, we might even be ahead right now.

1 quote? When did any of the UF players talk trash about UGA this offseason?

I’d say it’s about 19 points.

You've got a thread on your board talking about how upset y'all are because you are ranked #10 yet somebody said you were not a playoff caliber team.
Florida Board

Here are some nuggets from the thread:

So do Gator fans think this is true? Seems two on the thread think 9 wins is expected. I say in Mullens second year we should expect to be a much better team.

The media is downplaying us 95% of the time and uses the excuse "we lost key players on defense" when they don't know crap about our roster...and of course the "the Oline will be have 4 new starters". IF Bama had four new starters on their Oline do you think they wouldn't be rated in the top three? Hello.

Because Florida=Alabama, right?

Im feeling 11-1 and everyone on the team is wanting a championship...badly. I think we beat UGA (hell we were leading 14-13 last year early in the third qt) and lose a game to a team like S. Carolina on the road.

Agreed. I am not falling into the we are still building line. Our starting roster is damn good. Two areas depth is a concern, but the rest of the roster is 2-3 deep at each position.

They are just scared. The fear is real.

I have to think that Franks has made tremendous improvements between the ears since last season. Heisman trophy? No, but he will surprise many nay sayers this season.

To think he cant make a 6 foot 6, 240 pound Qb that can run decently well successful is absurd. Of course Franks should improve. If he learns to handle pressure better this year we will have an incredibly nasty offense.

i think we go 10-2.

10-2 is fair..but these morons are claiming we for sure lose to LSU and Auburn and have zero playoff chance...the delusion of UGA fans is insane.

We should be favored in 10 of our 12 games, if we pull off 1 or 2 upsets over LSU and UG, the sky is the limit.

Two days out and I am in full homer mode. I don't get why Franks is not the Heisman frontrunner.

Mullen's QBs have done historically very well in their second year under him.

I mean the history clearly indicates any QB Mullen has playing for him does well. Can't see why Franks can't be another name on this list of success stories.

Tough schedule - probably not a play off team because of that - but you never know!

If we stay healthy, I'm confident we can hang with anyone in the country.

We do have a chance to play in the CFP, we are better than most Gators realize.

Yeeeeah. Tell us about how reasonable, realistic and humble Gator fans are.

I would say that mutt fans talked a lot more trash this off season, but I am glad Saturday made you feel so good about the WLOCP, but you have a surprise coming. It will in no way be the same Gator team that you saw Saturday night, in Jax.

Tell us about how a message board is a good sample size.

Only obsessed people go to other boards to lurk. That's just my opinion though. I doubt those that do such things agree.

That is actually a good point.

This is the first P5 opener that Florida has won since 2016, and they should get credit for that.

Add this to your list, The Gators will still beat the mutts in Jax and win the East. 1-0, you can't win them all if you don't win the first one.

It's what looked bad as much as anything else.

DBs - trash. Running game, veteran QB - garbage.
Tackling - awful.
Discipline - nonexistent.

The only strength we predicted that actually showed up was the D-Line and they were lined up against one of the worst units I've ever seen.

How are they supposed to correct everything? Is Mullen up for the job he has ahead of him? I'm not sure.

If something that looks like Saturday's UF team shows up in Jax, they lose by 3 scores or more.

I have no problem with Florida being happy. I mean, it was the first game. Rarely do teams look polished in the first game of the season. The idea is to show improvement week after week and peak for the playoffs.

My point was the poster that claimed most Gator fans were expecting 8-9 wins. I think I proved him wrong.

We were assured by gator fans that you would beat Miami easily.

I am somehow finding it hard to trust anything you guys say, now.

A good sample size? What? You think I am going to make robo calls and take a survey? This is what you guys were saying.....quite literally word for word. I believe YOU had a couple of those quotes, too, so it is obviously a good sample size of what Gator fans on here was thinking.
