Yeah, well, I looked on the first page, didn't see it, so now some of us are "covering" it again. Thanks for your contribution.

No problem.

I requested an anchor too. You should probably edit the title to say "Please anchor - duplicate thread".

A&M LSU can get to that lvl easily especially with how many LSU fans are in Houston. The problem is A&M has to sit in the corner and keep quiet after getting their asses handed to them so many times.

It's off the topic of the thread, but I think it's just a matter of time till A&M wins big, and yeah, I know it's been said before.

Wrong. Only real rivalry in the SEC is the Iron Bowl. Just ask a Bammer.

Florida administration, along with McElwain is trying to rub salt in the wound. Period.

LSU for homecoming, and the baseball team honored at halftime?
May work out well for the Gators. What if it doesn't?

If the Gators lose, it would be a safe bet that the 2018 LSU game won't be homecoming.

This whole thing feels kind of Aggie-ish to me.... Fla should have more dignity than stooping to ANM level trolling.

Really, the only two schools I think we are interested in rivalries with are ole miss and bama.

Auburn and Fla are really competitive and fun, intense games but I kinda don't hate either one. I would think there would need to be some intense drive to embarrass and destroy a team (not just beat them down) to constitute a true "rivalry". I HATED that we didn't win the CWS, but I have to say I was happy for UF and didn't mind giving props to them as the overall better team this year. That would have NEVER happened had that team been ole miss or bama. Just my 2 cents.

My first introduction into UF-LSU dates to 1963 when LSU had players like Pat Screen, later on Billy Ezell, Billy LeMasters etc etc.

In 1963 we were shut out by Ga Tech, LSU & AU, tied Moo State...but we did upset Bama in Tuscaloosa when the Tide was ranked # 3. In 1964-66 Spurrier was QB and never lost to LSU.

It was an annual game for the most part and we played Miss St a lot also..along with annual Ga & AU games...UF didn't play Bama, UT, Vandy, Ole Miss much.

UT had Miami as the Homecoming in '02. Nothing worse than losing the HC game. UF is playing with fire here, and if they lose HC to LSU it'll be worse than a regular lose. If LSU gets control of the game I would love to see them just continue the beat down for being so stupid. Make them yell "Mercy" from the stands. Ha

Disclaimer: not sure how important HC is at UF. HC at UT is a pretty big deal especially if you are in the Greek community. At least when I was there.

Homecoming at UF is a huge deal. Gator Growl is that Friday night and is the culmination of a week long of activities. It is a holiday in Gainesville on Friday, the public schools are closed as well as many businesses.

LSU has been the UF homecoming game in the past, so it's not as if this is something new and different for us.

And UF had LSU as its homecoming opponent in 2006 and 1996.

Both times, UF owned LSU and went on to win the National Championship.

Your point?

Ok cool. Yeah wasnt really sure which schools make HC a big deal as i've only experienced UTs. I just remember how horrible it was to get beat pretty good that Miami game. Not fun being on very little sleep from the weeks activities.

So what if yall lose, and it's a bad loss? Try to take the current lsu bickering out of it, and it being another team like Oklahoma. just wondering

06 UF wasn't supposed to be National Title good that year

And LSU was supposed to be top 5 good last year, and look what happened?

You just don't know.

The only lock right now is Alabama going 11-1 or 12-0 and winning the West.

We agree here. Yes.

I'm just saying playing with fire IF losing the HC game is a bigger deal than a regular home game. I just remember how bad it was, thinking why we would do that, and a loss I still "hope the person who made that call got canned" 15 yrs later.

Foley made both Miss State and GA Southern homecoming games.

He was the best AD in the business, and the football program had losses like that.

HC loss is big, because it is homecoming, but this year it is against a marquee opponent. I expect UF to win because I have high expectations for them this year, and this is the best offensive talent UF has had (QB is the big ?) since 2008.
