Timing is suspect in lots of ways. On one hand, what an idiot if he did something wrong given what he may have had coming his way.
On the other hand, we're at the historical peak for attention on athlete sexual or physical abuse of women, so this coming out as this guy became a national name is dubious.

Regarding timing, I'd imagine if he did rape someone on UF's campus Saturday night and they know that he's a soon to be starting football player then I could see where a girl would be hesitant to report it.
