UConn is LIGHT YEARS ahead of every other program right now. In fact

I don't think we were ever this dominant in football under Saban. Granted, this is just year two, but it's remarkable. Bama didn't play poorly at all. Nobody else in the country (including Purdue) would have kept it much closer tonight.

Purdue will certainly give them a better game, actually

They have the style of team (great big man and good shooters) that CAN. UConn will have to be a little sloppy, though. Otherwise, I don't give Purdue any chance. If tonight's UConn shows up, UConn also beats Purdue by double digits. (And yes, Purdue is a better overall team than Bama).

UCONN in it's 11 games in the NCAA tournament has yet to play a one or two seed in the tournament. Purdue will be its first. I thought Bama would win tonight by 3, and they played UCONN closer than anyone has. The final score might be 14, but it was still in doubt until about five minutes left.

That's because we shot it well (at least for a half). And they still won by 14 in the end. They are a machine. Purdue is the ONLY team that I can see giving them fits because of their uniqueness. I just don't think they can beat UConn if UConn isn't cold, though.

Basketball is way harder to go back to back than football.

Any top 10ish team would conceivably be more competitive

Bama did fine/well considering, though

It's truly a "until it happens to you" deal playing them. I couldn't even get mad when they beat our arse last year. They wouldn't miss. Y'all played tough.
