Neither of those guys were 5-stars and neither transferred from Texas to become good somewhere else.

A&M is a special kind of toxic to its QBs.

Weigman is not the guy. Jackson Arnold should be the target but he’s no world beater either. He messed bama up good though.

You guys trying to tell us what we are when you don’t watch us…please stop. Everyone doesn’t need to teach you what you didn’t watch, it’s sad that you guys are so passionate when you know we all know how limited your sample size is. You fans are saying King is great after watching one game in his 4 years of college football. I have seen him play in over 20.

Develop your people

Haynes King is on track to become Texas's OC in under a decade.

The solutions you seek lie within you—first, acknowledge your shortcomings, then clear your mind.

Kenny Trill?

Or Kyle or Kyler?

Somewhere in the Texas secondary is a Heisman QB

If he steals a lap top or something, then we are looking for a QB.

I haven't said anything about King in this thread or any other, just giving my honest opinion after watching 4 of your games this year and bits and pieces of others.

You made me regret saying something positive about your program, congrats...it will never happen again.

Marcel Reed doesn't have the body for it...never mind a pure pocket passer.

I'll get flamed for saying this, but Weigman still has a higher ceiling than Reed. Our OL kinda sucked this year and our receiving corps, as a group, was average, at best. I think Elko gave up on him too early and I'm sure that he's going to go somewhere and do well. With our luck, it'll be another SEC team and he'll torch us for the next 2 years.

Pretty sure Colin Klein was QB at K-State while ya'll were still in the Big 12 so you know what type of outdated offense he knows. Of course if you have a Cam Newton type QB it could work, but Marcel Reed doesn't have the body for it...never mind a pure pocket passer.

Nah, he finished 3rd in the Heisman race the year Manziel won (our first year in the SEC).

Kiffin is going hard after the Liberty QB. Been following transfer trackers now that recruiting is done. We need a transfer tracker pinned to the top.

I've heard we are in talks with J. Arnold.

We are in a weird spot with Simmons. He has a slight tear in his UCL. If he plays baseball it has a very high chance of tearing and requiring Tommy John. But it doesn't affect him throwing a football.

So on 1 hand you want a guy to come in and challenge Simmons or be the backup but you aren't paying out the arse for a sure fire starter when you have a guy in the room already. So the Liberty QB makes some sense.

The horses are already there in Collie Station, you just need to get them all running the right direction on track

I disagree. We need an entirely new secondary and WR corp, and we could use an elite QB. I don't think peak Reed is good enough to get us a natty.

Most of the smoke for Mizzou has been around Miller Moss. He will be on campus next week for his first visit. Haven't really heard much around Weigmann as it pertains to Mizzou.

Don’t forget about Garret Gilbert.

Gilbert was a bust. And he went from crappy to average. And only was average as 5th year senior in a very friendly QB system playing against crappy competition while he was at SMU.
