The place that use to be the "Old Train Station"? That was my favorite bar in Tuscaloosa when I was a student in the mid 90s. That place was the s###.

That's why I am at the Strip, 9 times out of 10. Houndstooth, Rooftop, Red Shed. Those are my places. Innisfree is growing on me too.

But even then you have dudes showing bartenders their dicks and idiots shooting into the air to break up fights
WTF?

I'm not a big fan of coppertop. Always a good bit of douchebag/good ol boy/affliction shirt wearing motherfrickers in there. Hot bartenders, though.

WTF?

I was in the Houndstooth one night and one of the drinkers was getting loud. Apparently he just got accepted to UA Law and was celebrating. He was getting too drunk so the bartenders cut him off. He got mad, pulled out his junk, and waved it at the female bartender, displeased. The bouncers threw him out and called the cops. Dude ran into Egans, then a cop goes in after him. Dude comes out, looks both ways, then sprints towards Waffle House. Cop comes out, sees him, and chases him down Gene Stallings. Cop got him, hilarity ensued.

I was not there, I just remember being on the strip in between bars and seeing some dude run down the street, and then a bunch of cops going into a frenzy. Heard the story later.

Not to take away from this thread, but that reminds me of the incident I saw at The Houndstooth the night of A-Day in 2010. I was at Eagin's. I see several cop cars in the street. Some guy is being drug out of The Houndstooth. It took four or five cops to get him in the back of the car. Then he kicked he door open and hit some of the cops. They tazared him like three times. The whole time everyone on the patio at The Houndstooth is egging him on. Quite the scene.

Someone should start an "Awesome SEC bar stories" thread, so we can get this one back on track

Going by the EMT's description of the wounds and the surveillance video it sounds the guy used a SAIGA shotgun. Semiauto magazine fed.

Most likely. The majority of the wounds were minor and seemed about what a shotgun would do to someone unless it was within 25 yards. Even the guy who fell in the bar with a back wound didn't have the bullet penetrate his abdomen.

An AK 47 would have shot through that guy... those things shoot easily 500 yards lethal. I know because I own one and have shot deer with it.

This is reason number 34579348579384570239502934 why guns should be banned in this country.

How many more countless, innocent lives are going to have to suffer before the rednecks finally realize we're better off as a society without guns?

The kind of people who go around shooting others will just own a gun illegally. If they want to hurt someone they'll find a way. Guns being legal just helps protect innocent civilians.

In the dark ages wasn't it Bahnhof (German for train station)?
