Knoxville is a great city these days. They've done wonders with downtown. It's a very nice place.

They don't call it God's country for nothing.

I'm one of those that likes Baton Rouge. Used to work there a week out of every month. I always found the people very nice and my co workers were great. Made many stops at Mike Andersons, the coffee bean, the chimes and Brunnet's when it was still open. There was a great Sushi place downtown on the top floor of some building but cant remember the name. Think its gone now. Nothing wrong with Baton Rouge. Same bad stuff you find there you find anywhere.
Tuscaloosa really cleaned up after the 2011 tornado. Almost a different place now for the better. It has its issues but really a nice little college town.

Still the strangest "gotcha" on this board. Sister frickin is a backwoods mountain joke (ie West Virginia, Eastern Kentucky, etc), not a Deep South joke.

Downtown is basically unrecognizable from the mid-late 2000s. The rest of the city is still pretty forgettable, but the campus/downtown corridor is really nice and well done now.
Downtown is nothing like when I was there.

Yea sorry we don’t meet the standards of class that Alabama has always been known for…

I've got a helluva idea!!
All you LSU fans stay out of Tuscaloosa, and all Alabama stay the hell out of Red Stick!

Backtracking now like a typical Gump. T-town is an exit off an interstate with a school. Drop the school in Birmingham or Montgomery and compare crime rates. I wonder how much revenue BR produces versus Tuscaloosa? Tuscaloosa is basically Auburn full of yankees.
Backtracking on what? This is a comparison of BR and Tuscaloosa and you go off on some tangent with some story about an Alabama fan shooting another and think that is a trump card claiming the win for BR? Nah dude. You guys are spoken of in the same breath as places like Baltimore, Chicago and Detroit when it comes to murder rates. #6 in the country. You can use all the whataboutism you want but this is DEAD PEOPLE in the streets. That is what BR is jockeying to leads the country in. I know it is a hard pill to swallow but the numbers are there.
And if you think some fantasy world where you can pick up the UA campus and drop it 60 miles away helps in your argument, that is just great. But in the real world, the UA campus is in Tuscaloosa. It is not in Montgomery, Birmingham or even Fallujah.
And FYI Detroit and Chicago produce way more revenue than any city in Louisiana. Are you logically implying that those crime ridden cities are better than anything La has to offer?
I'm a little tired of explaining why having a top 6 murder rate is bad but I don't think it is sinking in for you. I give up.

Moreover, it's the same pot and kettle back and forth along with poor education, trailer living, white trash, obesity, poors, etc. Over and over again.
I hate to burst anyone's bubble from any SEC state, but those stereotypes and narratives belong to us all. It is the national perception of the South.

I haven't ever been to Knoxville, and I haven't been to Tuscaloosa in 20 years.
Seems like most places are placing an emphasis on their downtowns these days, and expanding and infilling them to be better places overall.
I need to make more road games.

Typical dumb Gump missing the entire point. I wasn't saying that BR had less shootings. I'm saying LSU fans don't shoot each other after wins and losses, as gumps are so known to do. Reading is hard in gumpland I see.
This is a bad look for you. You don’t come across as a dipshit like this in the outdoor board.
