Hey, Let's get back to the important stuff, SEC ThunderDome. I am pretty sure we can make ESPN sponsor this somehow. Should the fans wear the "best" or "worst" school jersey? Can we get special Thunder Dome uniforms made? Some are bullet proof, etc. And weapons, hand to hand or randomize some weapons?

Yeah the agents thing doesn't really bother me much because it was not against any rules for them to meet.

it's absolutely against the rules to have contact with an agent. simply talking isn't a huge violation but yes it's against the rules

Simply talking is NO violation whatsoever.

Yeah, they have to buy dinner or something for it to be a violation right? Isn't that what happened to Dez Bryant?

I just find it funny you think we will go 5-7 with a top 3 defense in the nation, arguably the best WR unit in the nation, every OL returning, the best TE in the nation, but you think MSU is going to go...EL OH frickING EL...10-2

You have to replace your entire secondary, with exception of Conner, and the best starting QB you've ever had. You have absolutely no depth at the LB position. You don't have the best TE in the nation, you have a WR playing TE who is completely useless for run blocking. To top it off, you return an entire OL, that was incredibly shitty last year with exception of one game.

I'll give you the "maybe best WR corp", but even that is pretty absurd to claim. Even if we assume that Treadwell is back at 100% in game, which is very unlikely.

No proven QB, weak & shallow O-Line (other than LT), weak running game...

D can keep them in games, but rarely win them...

Go compare yardage between Bo and Eli. The point is he was damn good for Ole Miss and he doesn't get that credit.

Bo threw for 9,534 yards in 3 years at 63.0%.
Eli went for 10,119 yards in 4 years at 60.8%.

He averaged about 650 yards per season more than Eli. And that's only passing, I would assume that he actually accounted for more total yards than Eli in one less year.

I'm pretty sure an agent has to provide something that can be viewed as "compensation" for it to be a violation.

The Agent must also register with the Sec. of State & School prior to contact; for him to be legal...

True

He may have been the most productive, he certainly wasn't the best.

True. The defense is still going to be very good for OM though.

OM doesn't run the ball very much so his lack of skill at blocking is almost irrelevant. He's one of the most explosive TE's in the country.

Agree 100%.

This is for the agent to have legal contact with the player, correct?

I agree with you there. He was a LOT better than he gets credit for.

That being said, the system and players around him were superior to when Eli was there. Bo was good, but not on Eli's level.

Yeah the odd thing about it is that statistically last season was probably his worst year.

Don't troll these people, skirp. I agree with you that he catches way too much shite. I do find it funny how some fanbases talk about how much Bo sucked but now that he's gone we are going to miss him? People need to stay consistent

About the secondary thing, you do realize that we are replacing the three players lost with five star studs, right? If anything, our season hinges on whether or not we find a running game to keep the pressure off of the quarterback. The defense is going to be filthy, once again.

Just sayin'.

Plus, at the same time that law was passed, it included criminal penalties for any agent (registered or otherwise) if the agent does anything to jeopardize the student-athlete's eligibility. I don't believe the SoS has any investigative authority but I would suspect that would fall back to local law enforcement.

This is like me saying we don't have to worry about safety because we are refilling with jamal peters. While maybe there is a point in it, it just isn't true. You can't count the chickens before they hatch.

Plus you are replacing Pruitt and Golson, I'll be shocked if anyone steps in and adequately fills their shoes in year one. Those guys were good college football players and a huge part of what made that defense good.
