Conference needed that.

Seriously, what a great game. Both teams - just great basketball.

Hell yeah, this is a S16 Barnes team if I’ve ever seen one!

I think both of those teams come away from that game feeling pretty good. Houston needed to find where there offense was going to come from when they had to have it. They hadn't done that so far. They know now.
Game of the Year so far, congrats on that one, Vols!

The best bet for that to happen would be for Auburn to beat Michigan by 10 or more during to the weird format.
Whoever decided point differential should be a tiebreaker deserves swift, repeated kicks to the balls.

Helluva win for the Vols. I was worried about this team going in but we are looking pretty good.

Shew. What a game. Great defensive second half early for the Vols, some clutch free throws. Glad Gillespie came home and is wearing orange.

For sure. Even when we had the lead, I was thinking "no matter who wins this, both teams look great." I don't think there's a real loser when you play games like this early when you put in a great performance. Both have a lot to build on from facing great competition.

To be fair, the winner of this tournament doesn’t really matter, but it is a weird setup.

Damn... AU needs to win by 10+, and even that might not be enough if Gonzaga smokes Maryland

It is weird, and I don't think I like it. The points shite is highly dependent on matchups.

The winner gets the biggest chunk of the 2 million in Nil cash.

Tennessee is likely in the final at 2-0 with a +23 point differential. They only count up to 20 points in margin of victory for the Rutgers game.
Kansas is also 2-0 with a +21 PD, but Michigan is already at +20 because of their first win even before playing tonight. If they win at all, it’ll probably be them and Tennessee in the final.
If Auburn pulls it out, that leads to a new mess of scenarios. There’s also still Gonzaga and Maryland coming off game one wins playing even later.
