Most people came to the same conclusion after watching a couple of times

I watch a lot of football. Also scouted for rivals and worked in recruiting in Louisiana and scouting for LSU Eunice baseball. The comment was not a knock on Tua at all, but the fact that a lot of qbs would have seen the same thing and would have been expected to make the same read. The difference, he executed it. The fact that I am an LSU alum and fan has nothing to do with my knowledge of the position of qb.

Well for 10 seconds he was.

Fromm's 80 yard TD to Hardman was a better pass and run.

Until he stepped out of bounds.

It took brass to even attempt that kind of pass in this situation or at the least it was a HUGE risk made by a true freshman going for broke
It was a great play and great throw, but it didn't take a lot of balls to go for broke.
It was 2nd and 25ish with a broken and shitty FG kicker. At that point, you basically have to go for broke and hope for a big play to pick up the first or a penalty downfield l.

I think Tua has practiced this play so often, he could have done it in his sleep. Daboll was giving Tua plays he was comfortable executing.
