Tua had a horrible game before the Heisman voting

Voters remember.
LF7 had a bad game vs Bama, while Henry played good in front of a national audience. Henry won Heisman. It didn't matter that fournette had a great season. It mattered that he had few yards when it mattered. The Georgia vs Alabama game was the most-watched game on TV for the year and Tua did bad. Thus, Murray got the award

It really is that simple, congrats to Murray,he had an incredible year,I don't think they would have been wrong if any of the 3 had won.

That and Murray was the difference in wins and losses for his team while the only difference Tua made is running the score up.

Henry rushed for over 2000 yards...lol the most in SEC history.. His season was little better than Fornettes

They will be saying the same thing about X QB next year when he's putting up video game stats in Norman next season as well. When Timmy Chang and Case Keenum were lighting up defenses earlier in the century, most Heisman voters realized that it was the system and not the player. It's a shame they have forgotten that.

LF7 had a bad game vs Bama,
I can't remember. What play was it in the first qtr that LF1.9 got hurt impacting his performance?

I agree. It's a system in Oklahoma. They rack up yards against non defensive teams. I remember when Jason white won the Heisman and he didn't even get drafted

The things that hurt Tua
Playing 200 less snaps.
Injuries
Playing awful the last game of the season.
People voted on performance rather than what could have been. As much as I love Tua. You vote on what's right and what has happened not what could have been. IMO

Fournette didn't have a bad game against Bama, the LSU OL had a bad game against the Bama front seven.
When you get down to it, the Heisman is a ridiculous trophy. It is comparing players from different parts of the country, in different conferences, etc., etc.. Football is probably the most "team" game in existence, and singling out one player out of thousands of participants will always be questioned.
That being said, I'm interested in seeing how Murray does against a top tier defense. i guarantee he would not have lit up the Georgia team that was playing last week. I don't think he'll light up Bama either, but we will get to see, one way or another.

If I'm Jalen Hurt's dad I'm on the phone with Lincoln Riley yesterday. Probably be sitting there with Tua in New York next year and go from a late round to 1st round draft pick.

Fournette’s terrible game was about 10x worse than Tua’s bad game due to injury.
Nope. I was wrong. It was about a 100x worse.

Spot on. Ingram won his with his SECCG performance in 09. I have no problem with any of the 3 winning it. They were all great thus season. Voters now turn in ballots after the championship games and whoever had a better championship was gonna win it.

Incorrect. He had a bad first half and was killing UGA in the second half before he got hurt.

...and Jalen Hurts coming in and being fantastic.
Without Murray, otoh, OU would almost certainly not be in the playoffs. And yes, I know it isn't an MVP award. But I'd bet a lot of voters had that thought.
