Over under posters who get banned tonight for making fun of / celebrating Tia’s injury - 6.5?

There’s a ton of people celebrating on the MSB.

Strange thing is that Tua’s pretty likeable. Imagine if Bama ever got a cocky QB.

Hopefully he’s ok. It seems irresponsible for Miami to put him back on the field tonight after what happened last week. You’ve got to think he really can’t stand to suffer another.

In the More Sports game thread, Tua was getting carted off the field on a stretcher and there were still guys making fun of him. Pretty disgusting.

He was playing great too. i really hate to see that, even as a avid LSU fan and thus bama hater, I always liked him, he is a good kid, and deserves better. prayers for his family, that wasn’t good

Fencing response

Wikipedia Fencing Response

quote:

The fencing response is an unnatural position of the arms following a concussion. Immediately after moderate forces have been applied to the brainstem, the forearms are held flexed or extended (typically into the air) for a period lasting up to several seconds after the impact.

quote:

It is used as an overt indicator of injury force magnitude and midbrain localization to aid in injury identification and classification for events including on-field and/or bystander observations of sports-related head injuries.[1]

Some positive news.

"Tua Tagovailoa has been taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. He is conscious and has movement in all his extremities."

He was displaying some decorticate posturing, though his fingers were extended rather than flexed.

Had you ever seen anything like that? I know I haven’t but I immediately told my wife it had to be neurological in some way..it was too weird looking to be anything else.

I’d only seen in in really bad concussions. Whoever the third party doctor last week who cleared him needs to be held accountable in a big way. That shite is so scary and could ruin his life. He never should have been playing

I agree Miami staff failed this kid. This is permanent and could cause issues for the rest of his life. Had the dolphins not been 3 and 0 i dont think he would have been sent out there. Tua should sit at least 5 games or more minimum.
