Absolutely hate to see anyone get hurt and that was fricking scary. I always respected Tua as a player, but this may be the end of his career.

It wasn’t particularly viscous but dude could barely stand up and was walking like he was drunk, yet they somehow said it was just a back injury. It didn’t take a doctor to see it was a concussion. Tonight was just horrible to see after that

It was a similar impact, but it looked nothing like this one. Last game, head slammed to ground, Tua got up fine and wobbled a bit out of nowhere- almost like he slipped on nothing.

Tonight looked way worse than any kind of concussion injury. I'm not necessarily sure the two are related but he shouldn't have been playing really

Decorticate posture
Decorticate posture is an abnormal posturing in which a person is stiff with bent arms, clenched fists, and legs held out straight. The arms are bent in toward the body and the wrists and fingers are bent and held on the chest.

This type of posturing is a sign of severe damage in the brain. People who have this condition should get medical attention right away.

Considerations
Decorticate posture is a sign of damage to the nerve pathway in the midbrain, which is between the brain and spinal cord. The midbrain controls motor movement. Although decorticate posture is serious, it is usually not as serious as a type of abnormal posture called decerebrate posture.

The posturing may occur on one or both sides of the body.

Decerebrate posturing is when the arms and legs are both extended, and is more serious as it involves brain stem injury. Luckily that is not the case here.

Can you help us understand what that means?

Decorticate posturing indicates a severe and likely enduring injury to the brain stem.

This is more likely just a fencing response to a concussion.

Nope, brain stem is decerebrate and is more serious.
