Madison County (Huntsville) has the highest number of engineers per capita of any county in the country.
If you removed the black belt from Alabama, Alabama would be in the middle of the pack nationally. They are only 10% of the population. But they have an abysmal education level, employment level, crime level and income level that drags the whole state down.
