I disagree completely. I think it was ridiculous to start a war over slavery. By the way, I have lived in SC my entire life. I think you are making some assumptions in your statement.

Texas is not the South, but we are culturally identical to the South (especially East Texas).
We just reject the South because we're a bunch of prideful, arrogant motherfrickers who wave the Texas flag way too much (which is not enough).
South Carolinians are just as proud of SC as we are of The Greatest State. They're just mad because Texas is better.

I'll take your word for it, but it seemed like nothing special happened the last time we visited their statehouse on a football trip. Guess we can try it again this October.

I took a trip to College Station Texas. I was shocked at the number of gay bars. The rainbow flags were everywhere and they flew in tandem with the A&M flags. I also visited the straight men concert but it only had three people there and those were the out of town musicians. I would not recommend that you stay overnight.....I would imagine there would be a gay pride parade every night....
