More overrated than Danny Wuerffel? I think not.
Wuerffel was the Gino Toretta of QBs.

As an expert observer of elite QB play, I can confirm the OP

Pretty instructive to see Lawrence has played 3 top 20 defenses in 26 games

You realize this “overrated” quarterback beat the dog shite out of Alabama - as a true freshman?

You obviously don’t understand football

Undefeated as a QB his freshman and sophomore years. Overrated as frick.
Not hard when you play their ACC schedule with 1 big game in the CFP.

Ok I'll bite on this stupidity: based on what exactly?

That might have something to do with the team he plays for. Remember how invincible Hurts seemed to be?

If I were a scout I'd take take Burrow, Tua, and Hurts all before Lawrence.
...annnnndd THAT’s why you’re not a scout.
The proper order is probably Lawrence #1, then Burrow, although maybe Burrow first. Third is Tua, but he is still a very high pick. Hurts should not even be drafted. He is not an NFL QB, although he’d be a decent backup.

Joe's football IQ gives him the advantage. Ed even mentioned on Joes recruiting visit it was obvious he was the smartest guy in the room (including coaches). He understands complex route concepts and know what the defense will do and where to go without hesitation. It made me nervous in the beginning to see how confident he was all the time. Its hard to not come off cocky when you know the answers to the test. You give a guy like that weapons, game film and time, he will light your fricking world on fire.
TL is obviously more physically talented. Joe wins between the ears and has ice in veins.

SP+ top 20 defenses
Lawrence is uber talented and will be #1 in the draft when he comes out but don’t use SP+.
Analytics are great but there is nothing to validate the S&P.
