Trevor Lawrence is the most overrated QB I’ve ever seen.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills or something. Go back and watch his biggest game ever against Bama last year without the crimson-hating goggles on. Most of those balls were 50/50 and just fantastic plays by the receivers or busted coverages. I’ve never seen him slice up a defense with arm talent and football IQ. Everything is a prayer with him and Burrow is exponentially better.
ETA: Tua is better too, the NC game did not end him. He had one bad game where he still threw for 300 but the media shite on him to boost Lawrence the way they will Burrow if LSU loses.

Undefeated as a QB his freshman and sophomore years. Overrated as frick.

That streak is overrated too. Get the frick out of here with your junior college schedule. No one gives a frick. Greg McElroy had a streak too, doesn’t mean shite.

He’s spent most of his career playing injured against the later half of our schedule. Also that Georgia game has always hurt his stats on those metrics.

He struggles when bama can’t out talent their opponent. See UGA/Clemson 2018.

Much of the same could be said about Tua as a freshman in the CFP.

You don’t even know that he didn’t play against Auburn? Are you retarded? He put up 6 touchdowns against Auburn when healthy in 2018.

What? Where’s auburn? Bama out talents Auburn so they wouldn’t fit. Their defense is great, but their offense not so much.

No, I’m not the one saying the kid who boatraced my team and is a sure fire first rounder isn’t good.

You put Auburn in 2019 then edited it But I can see where people would make the argument about Tua playing against superior talent. With my Bama bias I’ll always have an excuse for it.

I love the logic in this thread. Lawrence is overrated despite the fact his team never loses games. I guess because he plays for Clemson??

Well, he frickin skull drug Alabama last season and he's playing for yet another title this year.

If someone were to use similar logic and say that El Burro is overrated they'd probably get like 700 downvotes in 24 hours.

Also I’m not saying he’s not a first rounder with those measurables. I’m saying he isn’t the second coming like the media paints him as.
EDIT: I think it’s pretty clear that Lawrence is not the greatest college QB ever like the media pretends he is. Is that an incorrect statement? Because if not then he is overrated.

Ken Dorsey won like 26 straight starts I believe.

You are correct. Trans-Law is talented, is mobile and can make all the throws, but he can’t sit in the pocket and read a defense and pick them apart like a Burrow or even Tua can.

Yeah he really carried them thru that. Man has thrown 11 more touchdowns in his career than Burrow did this year.

Fromm threw for 300 and 3 td’s that team while Tua struggled. Then he didn’t do well in the natty either and those were the 2 defenses with comparable talent to Bama’s offense. 2 games isn’t a massive sample size, so the real issue is trashing Lawrence when the kid has shown out against the top teams he’s played.

I haven’t seen anyone call him the best college QB ever, just that he’s the best QB NFL prospect in a while. Those are two different things. Without context and saying he’s the most overrated college QB ever seems like you’re saying he’s bad.
