Florida Atlantic kept them out of the tournament in the conference USA final
Florida Atlantic probably still would have gotten in losing that game

UAB is legit and should have been in the Dance.

Thankfully UAB is leaving CUSA, it'll be easier to make the tourney from the AAC. UAB has only made the NCAAT twice in the last decade and had to win the CUSAT both times to do it. UAB made 7 appearances between 1990-2011 and didn't need to win their conference tourney to get in any of those times.
Remember early 00s CUSA? They were honestly kind of stacked in basketball with Memphis, Louisville, Cincinnati, Mike Anderson UAB teams, Houston, etc. UAB vs Memphis was a legit basketball rivalry for about a decade there. CUSA football was fun back then too. It's going to be fun to get back to that in the AAC

Those games were intense as hell. Two fanbases that really hate each other. Looking forward to Memphis making their way back down to Bartow, it's time for some revenge.

Battle of the Bones during football season was always a good time.

All things considered, UAB (28-9) is probably a top 40-ish team.
If we're just picking the best 64 to fill a bracket, they would've been safely in, no doubt.
They had a mid-season slump that hurt, including three losses in overtime.

Coach Andy Kennedy is a GOAT and Ole Miss is a bunch of dumb fricks for parting ways with him.

Even though you ended up getting Chris Beard out of it?

It's baseball season and I do not like Vanderbilt.

I said what I said.
AK is who we've always needed.

How does the AAC stack up numbers wise once Houston, UCF, etc leave for the Big 12? Still has to be a lot better than conference USA.

Morris,
What was the announced crowd last night? Looked good on TV and appeared to have some folks in the uppers. Tennessean write up didn't reference attendance.

Someone did the math and AK would have had least 2 or 3 more tourney teams at Ole Miss under the NET score that were NIT under the old RPI.
That said, it did feel like things had run their course with AK and he also felt that way. Ole Miss just messed up the next hire.

The average was way down as of last year. I think around 6900. This year Stack has attendance up considerably but still no sellouts. I don’t know about last night. Sorry.
