Prior to LSU, they played:
Rhode Island - FCS school, gained 4 yards on Syracuse
Wake Forest - Couldn't break 100 yards against Indiana
Central Michigan - 90 yards against Syracuse, 84 yards against MONMOUTH (Cent Mich has never broken 100 yards)

Syracuse has played HORRIBLE running teams outside of LSU.

Context, my friend. Context.

LOL, so much for "numbers don't lie"

Yeah, I know they haven't played good teams. And it is indeed important to contextualize every data point. But where does it end? You gonna provide this context for every single team in the country?

You would have to look at the opponents' opponents for every team to properly contextualize their current statistical profile.

We don't have a large enough sample size on any of these teams right now. Teams have only played a handful of games, often with at least 1-2 coming vs. cupcakes. In a sample size this small it's easy for even one outlier result to skew the data.

So ... in sum, it's way too early to parse anything meaningful out of the data being presented in the OP.

Secretly, I was showing the LSU fans how to win the argument with the Bama fans. The poster above gets it too. I'm not doing all that work though because I have no interest in the argument save for glancing over at the minor accident to see what happened.

Syracuse hadn't allowed a 100 yard rusher in 15 straight games.

Whoa bro, slow down. Please provide some context. I'm going to need you to list out all 15 opponents, and their opponents' opponents, and their opponents' opponents' opponents before we can properly determine if they have enough of a pulse for us to accept the offensive numbers accrued against them by LSU.

Aren't the two SEC teams you've played averaging less than 20 points per game in conference play?

So you're saying LSU has played 4 defenses to date?

Interesting.

I'm going to go ahead and make a bold prediction here and say that by the time LSU and UF play, LSU will have played five defenses.

There is so much HOPE on this thread. Keep it alive, fellas. And then when Fournette runs into your defense see if all your focused hope can stop him.

Also nominated for Tiny Penis O The Day Thread.

I see we're going to need to put Florida back in their place. Happens every few years.

Leading the East. We are already back in our place.

This thread isn't about UF though. I'm not sure how that rumor got started.

You want to explain to me how in the world this thread is about FL other than the UT fan and the LSU fans that made it so? I'm actually curious about this assertion.

I did everything I could to keep the discussion to the stats presented. Not my fault some folks can't stay on topic.

Thread about LSU stats is somehow about UF???? That's strange to think that way IMO.

For now, we'll take it 'cause it's better than not being the smartest. Muschamp crushed us man. We're taking baby steps and being cautious this time.
