Lots of arguments about LSU hasn't played a defense yet. Well they've played four games so far and here's the Total Defense ranking of each of their opponents. Just stats for the masses that are debating this issue. Glad to help.

Total Defense of LSU's opponents to date for anyone interested:

McNeese - FCS rainout
'cuse - 47
MSU - 69
Auburn - 92
E Mich - 116

Average of the four: 81

ETA: corrections made - LSU schedule I used was shaded funny and I missed Syracuse. My bad. Downvote if you like men.

Florida will expose them. Bama will laugh at them.

Basically sums it up. While Fournette has run wild, he's faced no defense with a pulse. The numbers don't lie.

Syracuse is a respectable #47.

But listen road.... don't be an idiot. All of these teams would have top 10 defenses if they hadn't played LSU's offense.

In their defense, I left off 'cuse originally. Fricked up for a moment. It happens a couple of times a year.

Yeah. I wonder how much LSU bribed the SEC scheduling office to get such an easy conference start.

Florida's defense is going to look bad statistically as well after we play them. That's what happens when teams face

All of you people debating how LSU's offense will perform against Bama are missing the point. It is LSU's defense that has kept them competitive in this series over the past several years. Since 2010, they have scored 24, 9, 0, 17, 17, and 13 against Alabama. Not impressive. Their defense, on the other hand, has held Bama to their lowest, or close to their lowest, point total of the year (except 2013 when the game was not close). THAT will be the difference this year. Chavis is gone and the LSU defense sucks. Against their one common opponent they performed worse than Auburn's D. Not a good sign.

Good stats. Probably needs it's own thread though since this one is about LSU.
