lol Oklahoma has the 2nd best sec basketball history next to Kentucky. They also own Texas in basketball in every way.

Honestly, also give reasons why Miss State is above Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Arkansas. I get the one title, but the others are pretty regularly in Super regionals and Omaha.
Were you born after 2000?
Let's compare history with your school
NCAA Tourney Appearances:
State 41
SC 35
Super Regionals:
SC 14
State 10
CWS
State 12
SC 11
CWS Titles
SC 2
State 1
Conference Titles
State 18
SC 4
That's why bitch
ETA: Ole Miss is not regularly in Omaha. They've been twice in 53 years

Cool, we are talking about baseball...

Oklahoma has more national titles than Tennessee and head-to-head in one.

Dave Magadan that's the guy and it was '83
quote:
Magadan attended the University of Alabama, where, in 1983, his .525 batting average led the entire nation, while setting an SEC record, and is still the fifth best in NCAA history.
quote:
He also became part of a historic moment when the Seattle Mariners played host to the Texas Rangers inside the Kingdome. In the first inning, with the Mariners leading 5-0, he stepped in against Nolan Ryan. While Magadan was batting, Ryan suffered a torn ligament in his pitching elbow and had to be removed from the game — as Ryan had already announced he would be retiring following the season, Magadan proved to be the last MLB batter that Ryan ever faced.
Nice trivia question.

One of the suites at Sewell-Thomas Stadium is named The 525 Club in honor of his batting average in 1983.

Yep even at the age of 13, I remember that guy. He was that good. He was the talk of the CWS at the stadium.

I think someone got into the moonshine a little early today. This is a baseball thread.
I don't watch basketball but I'll take your word for it. We'll never sniff a championship in that sport.

I laughed that some dipstick down voted your post for simply stating facts.
But the tiers that the Vol guy put up don't take into account that OU is tied for fifth in the league for total number of CWS appearances... and they are tied for third in number of CWS championships...
So he clearly has OU too far down on the list.

What a terrible list. Skip Bertman, Ron Polk, Auggie Gariddo, Wayne Graham are the coaches that built NCAA baseball while Tony was pooping in diapers

Auburn might choke in the tournament
But we sure have 2 of the greatest to ever play the game in Bo Jackson and Frank Thomas

At least list Alabama in garbage. Hard to argue otherwise the last 25 years.
But top 20 in all time wins. Only 5 CWS appearances. Did play for a title twice.
Third all time in SEC regular season titles and tournament titles.
Alabama also holds the head to head series record against LSU.
Just like every other major college sport.

I’d lose every game to Bama if it meant have the success we’ve had when it matters.
