Tough choice but who do you pick him over?

Jim Brown:Arguably GOAT NFL RB
Th Cobb: All time MLB great
Herschel: Arguably GOAT CFB RB
Sugar Ray: Arguably GOAT middleweight and top 10 boxer all time
Bobby Jones:GOAT amateur golfer

Not much room for Jackie

Robinson led UCLA football in passing and rushing
He was the conference mvp in basketball
He also lettered in track
I would argue he is one of the top 5 athletes of all time period

Jalen Ramsey and Steve Spurrier off the top of the head. Spurrier won a Heisman.

Jackson was the first athlete to be selected as an All-Star in both MLB and the NFL. Sanders first to win superbowl and world series.

Jackson v Sanders

Fun highlight I ran across while watching some of Sanders’s baseball highlights.

Deion hits an insider the park HR past Bo. Bo has to leave the game before attempting to hit his 4th HR of the night. Pretty good stuff.

Bart Starr?

Also, not in the top 5, but it’s worth mentioning Terrell Owens

Uh, hell fricking no. Bo Jackson is by far the best overall athlete from Alabama ever. It's really not even close. That dude is a freak of nature and probably one of the top overall athletes of all time in the entire country.

Say what you want about the man, but he won 2 majors. I doubt there’s more than 10 or so guys that have done that in the modern era.

And he was drunk

Drinking 28 diet cokes a day should garner him some freaking recognition in its own right.

Read his book. It is a good one and talks a bout his playing days in college.

He had to lose weight and get on the golf team for Arkansas. So he lost the weight by drinking whiskey and eating popcorn.

The New Orleans Pelicans refused to sign him because of his height, so he went to work in a lumber mill in Morgan City. The Mill owner was friends with NY Giants manager John McGraw and convinced him to give him a tryout. When he retired he had more homeruns than anyone in Nation League history. Ott's grand daughter works with my brother, in Gretna.
