Well which one of those guys is the next Antonio Brown? Hardman or Godwin?

Obviously neither of them, but I think it’s a little dumb to say that they’re just gadget players. You should know that Hardman has plenty of skill. Auburn fans do too. Godwin has some areas he needs to improve upon, but he’s a solid route runner, and has pretty good hands.

But guys like that are a dime a dozen and they aren't great WRs. Sorry.
There have been a lot of smallish good receivers. But, more to the point, who said they were absolutely great receivers that would dominate. If you check the OP it says no such thing. I am confused. Who are you arguing with? Certainly not the point that was made in the OP, which was that Georgia had two of the top receivers in the country coming back that excelled in that particular metric. Not sure why you are trying to frame it differently.

Who knows? I mean, Antonio Brown was a 6th round draft pick, so it;s obvious nobody expected a lot form him coming out of college.

Not sure why it is obvious. Nobody expected Antonio Brown to be the player he is, either. One of them could develop into another Antonio Brown. I'm not prepared to say either will become the next AB, but nobody else was predicting Antonio Brown would be a whole lot, either.

Yeah. It's hard for a wide receiver to catch the ball when it is not thrown to them.
Agreed. Then why does it have this mentioned? Not saying the receivers are bad just strange that it's written up that way.

kinda disagree. It’s a little bit easier to have your passer (or i guess receiving in this case) rating high when you’re not targeted as often.
Depends. 3 things can happen with More targets:
1. Rating goes up.
2. Rating goes down.
3. Rating stays relatively the same.

Posters tend to think the logo next to a name reflects who they are a fan of, as they should.

Because that is what the metric said. This is not some statistic that djs made up. It was on a site he went to...found it interesting and brought it to this board.
ETA
I am wondering if by wording it that way it also says something about a receiver's ability to make a catch. Very few QB's put the ball in an exact spot, so the receiver has to adjust to make a catch. Look at Godwin's catch at ND. Very good, tough catch. Godwin made Fromm look good. Well thrown pass, but it easily could have gone as an incompletion. That is why I would say this metric is important. If a receiver makes a tough catch he doesn't get extra credit, but it sure helps a team/QB out a lot.

Ehh... debatable. More often, more targets will lead to a lower passer rating because it's a sign the QB is more willing to throw to a certain target even if they're covered. For example, I would say Wims was our best receiver last year, but Fromm was also more likely to throw it to Wims when he was covered than the other guys, probably lowering his passer rating.
It's similar to YPC. The more carries you get, your average is going to tend to go down.

When I posted to him originally he had an Arkansas logo next to his name.

Are you saying we should assume it's when they are targeted?

Or maybe it raised the rating when he made a tough catch when covered that otherwise would have gone elsewhere, which he did often. The opposite would occur if the wr wasn't good enough to make those catches.
Maybe the qb goes 5/5 for 100 yards and a td or maybe he goes 1-5 for 6 yards and an int. Maybe in between.
Maybe the rb gets stuffed for 2 yards on 5 extra carries or maybe he breaks some tackles for 70 yards on those 5 carries. Maybe the avg is maintained.
Point is, It all depends on what's done with those extra attempts.

Obviously it could go up, but more often than not, a QB's rating will decrease when that occurs.

Where are you getting this "more often than not" idea from?

Yep. I noticed. I just thought he was another "hit & Run" poster. He says something really dumb then when it gets pointed out he runs.

Murray was a good qb. So is Fromm.
