Help me out with this one - why is there a huge tiger paw in the middle of the road there? Doesn't Auburn have enough logos/mascots without using one of the most recognizable logos in college football?
I think it would have been way more "Auburn" to put the interlocking AU there, which is another great logo, instead of a tiger paw that looks suspiciously like some other team's logo?
Was it payback for using your old uniforms, stealing Heisman and Riggs, copying Samford Hall (loosely), etc?
I was down there Saturday, and it looks pretty great, by the way.

It's not new. Not as popular as the AU, but not new.

I think it's safe to say when designing Toomers, sticking it to Clemson wasn't discussed.

Half of the pics in your link are Clemson's paw. You kind of made my point. Even Google doesn't know there's an Auburn paw.
I'm no Auburn expert, but I'm almost positive Toomer's has been around longer than 1989 or whenever that homemade paw was painted. Certainly longer than 2015 when the Clemson paw was put in permanently.
